Unstopable Play

[Gamit]

I was playing someone online and he was using the Texans while I was the Jets and he besically only used one play the whole game that I could not defend. All he did was use a screen pass to the left over and over and I couldn't find a defense that could penatrate it. This proves that someone will always exploit a game and make it unenjoyable.

A jerk like that shouldnt be allowed to play on line. Better yet he should be beaten within an inch of his life. There are a lot of online players that play that way, and thats why i stopped online play 2 yrs ago.

All plays are stoppable, learn to play defense and this wouldn't happen. Just saying.

Why didn't you use a player you were controlling to mess up that play. Most plays usually aren't "unstopable" if you are good at using the player you are controlling in the game and not just calling the right plays.

You could have assingned the all of your lineman to the running back so that they would all have ran to him. You probably should have tried assigning two linebackers to the RB instead only keeping the one default guy. More players running towards the RB means either the play will be "stoped" for a loss, almost immediately or after minimal gain.

Remember, a screen pass is all about the blockers in front of the player. So even if the players that are running towards the RB don't get the tackle, at least they would have taken up some of the blockers he had in front of him.

No offense but it was unstopable I used every defensive scheme the Jets had to no avail

just control your LB and stop the screen yourself. if you haven't figured out how to control a LB or safety on defense by now then odds are you're not very good.

Hey hey, the other posters are right. Every play in the game is stoppable to SOME EXTENT. If one guy is chucking the same play every other play, he usually does it in a pattern. Cheesers are hard to beat unless you pick up their stragey of cheese in which they use a base of 3-5 plays.

NOW, to stop a screen. I forget the exact play, but I think its DB Contain. Brings great pressure and stops it. But you should play man to man, change the assignments of your outside DE to qb contains, it makes them move to the side... this works good on screens, mobile quaterbacks, and outside runs.

Man coverage stops all screens. If for some reason that still doesnt work just rotate a DE over to that side. Honestly you just made yourself look terrible on here.

Sure players shouldnt run the same crap over and over but its going to happen online so be prepared for it.

If a player is exploting the ridiculous running back/catch/flat type thing, I simply tell me defensive end on that side to cover the flat and it seems to always work. If not, I'm sure you could put your OLB's as your DE's and have them do it for some more speed/athleticism.

Lame on the cheesing though, whether it's stoppable or not.
