Retractable Roofs Always Closed in Franchise

Something I'm wondering if I'm not doing right/not quite set up properly in the game. In franchise mode I usually like to play with the Texans but something that's bugged me is that the roof in Reliant Stadium (& Lucas Oil Stadium when I'm there) is closed. Is there a way to get the roof open from time to time?

I'm just simming through the 09 season to test if it's the weather that has an effect on the roof, So far every game in the retractable roof places has been closed, it was in the 90's for the first few weeks, I'm up to week 11 & in week 9 it was 61 & fine in Indy. It's not a big deal but it's one of those little things that we should be able to choose.

I should be so lucky. I had to play the Eagles in a downpour in Cowboys Stadium because I can't get the roof closed.

      Hopefully this will be patched!

Can't be worse than playing a game indoors and watching those F-16's fly by!

This. You would think that with a retractable roof they would close it when it's raining, try and protect that gigantic replay screen that punters keep trying to hit. Nope, in my 3 full season playing at Cowboys' Stadium every time the weather is bad the roof is open.

Same here. Jerry maxes out capacity so the fire marshal forces him to open the roof Maybe that will be a new feature next year? user gets to choose to keep the roof open or closed lol.

I remember seeing this once, and it had me like WTF EA you fail for this. This needed to be fixed but I doubt it will.

I've wondered about this for years. In Play Now, if you're playing with a team that has a retractable roof, you can choose to open it or close it. But for whatever reason, in franchises you don't have that option. It's just one of those annoying things. And honestly, every team in real life that has a stadium with a retractable roof almost always has the roof open unless it's raining or something(at least the Colts do and most times I've watched the Texans play at home there's has always been open). I think they should either give us an option for it in Franchise, or just automatically make the roof open in games where it's sunny out, but closed when it's raining/snowing.
