Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Hey Bill I had been using your sliders for a while and enjoying them. Had a few small issues, like some players didnt really play like their real selves. Plus some animations were off. Anyways I did more research and came up with these sliders based off Versusz2's sliders. The game feels a lot more real to me, and players tend to play like their real selves as much as madden lets them.
I'd apprecite if you could try them out and let me know what you think? I respect your opinion on sliders and any input will definately be appreciated. Here's a link to my sliders http://www.operationsports.com/forum...s-realism.htmlComment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
These are easily the best sliders out here, and I've come to realize that playing this game on "Fast" really brings out a whole bunch of animations that I have never seen before. Just today I played the Colts with the Niners and had a two-man gang tackle going on Addai when Manny Lawson flew out of no where, got helmet to ball contact and popped the ball about 20 feet in the air. Patrick Willis caught it and ran it back for a touchdown. Probably the coolest Madden moment I've ever had (won the game by that margin).Comment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
I finally got this too. On very slow, slow, and even a little on normal, to me, the tackling animation looks like a guy fainting(the ball carrier) and someone catching them and easing them to the ground (the tackler). On fast, the whole tackling animation is performed smoothly, again, in my opinionated observation.Originally posted by nbluedevilsand I've come to realize that playing this game on "Fast" really brings out a whole bunch of animations that I have never seen before.Comment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Hey Bill, this may seem like a dumb question, but with the FG accuracy and punting accuracy set at the sliders they're at I'm missing a ton of extra points and I'm not even moving the arrow at all. Also if I angle a field goal attempted from the hashmarks closer to the middle even at all the kick goes completely horribly wide almost immediately. It's the same deal with punting. What gives?Comment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
That sounds very strange. Makes me wonder if there is something wrong with your controller's R-Stick honestly. There is definitely nothing going on with the slider set up for kicking that would make it do that. Those have been that way since v1 I think and nobody has complained of that happening.Hey Bill, this may seem like a dumb question, but with the FG accuracy and punting accuracy set at the sliders they're at I'm missing a ton of extra points and I'm not even moving the arrow at all. Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Like these sliders alot however I have one issue: Play Action. Seems like the CPU D (with 4 rushers) is on me way too fast. Most of the time I cant even get the ball off. Anyone else seeing this? I am considering bumping CPU pass rush down a few notches.Comment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Offensively, these sliders are fine. I can pass and run the ball fairly well with some repetition, bigger plays happening as I wear down the defense, etc. Offensively these sliders are working great for me. Now, on the defensive side of things, the CPU QB is throwing way too many completions. I've played 5 games now and 4 of them ended with the CPU QB's completion percentage at over 75%. The 1 game he had 69% I believe.
The last game I played, Marc Bulger threw for 19/19 - 236 Yds - 4TDS. It was ridiculous. Most of his throws were short passes either to the flats or short towards the middle of the field in front of my LBs.
I was using ask madden to call plays and it didn't matter what play I chose. Tried all the covers, man defenses, etc to no avail.
Any suggestions play calling wise or on how much or little I should tweak the sliders?Comment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Have you posted the updates to your sliders (version 4) now that the Madden update is available?

Geez...nothing like giving a guy some time to get something done. Seriously, these have been out for what, a few hours now?Comment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
You're right...I didn't realize the update just came out. I haven't been on Madden all week. Take your time fellas and sorry for the rush.

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Homecourt, sorry, I think that suggestion about the controller may be right. I've never heard of anything even close to that, and I've practically shanked extra points and still made them. That sounds very strange. Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
The patch should be out tomorrow in the U.S., and I'll start testing tomorrow night or Friday. And guys, particularly you coach mode guys, if you can put up your stats with games played post-patch, it will help me figure out what needs to be adjusted more quickly. Thanks.Comment

Re: Bill's v3 Realism Sliders
Just had the funniest game ever with these sliders.
Had to get in one more pre-patch game on fast before the patch... I'm headin back to normal when it drops more than likely. And yes... the stats are correct.
Steelers (Me) Vs Eagles (CPU)
73-16
Total Offense Steelers
758 Yards (673 Rushing, 85 Passing)
Total Offense Eagles
493 Yards (17 Rushing, 476 Passing)
PASSING
Ben Roethlisberger
9/17, 107 yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs
Donovan McNabb
27/48, 495 Yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs
RUSHING (Yes, I'm serious...)
Brian Westbrook
10 ATTs, 6 yards, .6 AVG, 0 TDs, 1 Fumble
Adrian Peterson
40 ATTs, 622 yards, 15.5 AVG, 7 TDs, 0 Fumbles
Defensive
Eagles - 2 Sacks (Trent Cole)
Steelers - 3 Sacks (James Farrior x2, Brett Keisel)
Kinda funny... after I had over 200 yards rushing in the first half I was like "woot, might make 400 this game." As you can see... I ended up with over 600, and would have been 700 had the final play of the game been Peterson instead of Mendenhall rushing for 83 yards.... lolz. Although I guess the holding penalty would have killed that anyway =/Last edited by Poetique; 09-24-2009, 03:29 AM.Comment
