Please get rid of the offseason hidden recruits, completely unrealistic

This is the single worst idea that has come about in years. No player comes from nowhere to be a fivestar recruit overnight. Who ever thought of this knows 0 about college football recruiting needs a babysteps recruting guide, and a subscription to rivals. This dumb feature could not be further from the truth in relation to "REAL COLLEGE FOOTBALL RECRUITING" which is what we are striving for here EA right?

Get rid of this unrealistic option it makes recruitng even easier and waters down the 5 star talent.

Top level recruits come out of no where all the time. Get a clue.

Well we have a winner for the uninformed post of the week.

Recruits don't magically appear, show me where a 5 star( or hidden) recruit has been off the radar of every college team in a America during his rapid rise to the top. Go on rivals or scout lets see some evidence of this highly unprobable event. You have no clue what your talking about. Every 5 star recruit has either been a 4 star or a 3 star rising, they don't all of a sudden pop out of thin air without a single scholarship offer from any team. This simply does not happen now, every recruit in America is known by somebody, even recruits from the smallest highschools in America. Knowone goes unnoticed, even kids from my old highschool in VA without D 1 talent levels were known by UVA, W@M, JMU, VMI, VPI, Norfolk state, all of them.

This is true. They don't come out of thing air. But they don't need to scrap the idea entirely. Like you say, there is definitely movement in the rankings through the high schoolers' senior seasons. I rather like this idea. Have them move up and down in the dead period between the end of the regular season and the bowl games and then when Late January/February rolls around, Boom! Hit us with the new rankings. Let's see it happen, EA.

Yes shakeups among the top are quite common, for example in basketball 2010 recruiting UVA commit KT Harrell went from being a down the list 3 star to the 35th ranked prospect on rivals a high major prospect (4 star). But he did all of a sudden appear out of thin air.

KEVIN CRAFT!? You have got to be ****ting me.
The 1 star ranking makes sense. But how in the world was Kevin Craft a 5 star?

Yes Kevin Kraft's stock obviously went up but many knew about this kid when that was happening. This post actually supports my op, as kevin became a higher rated prospect schools started to take notice hum...........? So he did not just appear magically with no scholarship offers did he, nope!!! He had offers from San diego state, BSU, Hawaii, and unlv even as a 2 star listed on rivals. He was also ranked the 61(3*) overall JC QB by rivals when he trasfered from MT. SAC. Not what I would call a viable counter argument to my op. Scout is mediocore at best, find a better example of a bonnified five star recruit that had no offers when he was listed as a 5* star, and jumped inconspicuously to the top of rivals and scout without a peep, Becasue this is how this doltish stupid feature works on this game.

I'm a USC fan, I'm just saying he's one of the guys I knew who blew up seemingly out of nowhere. He became a 5 star upon committing to the ruins who had just signed Chow.

That's also different in that he was a senior in high school when he was a 1 star and he was a JC sophomore when he was a five star.

Sorry If my post seemed to be ripping on you. I had no intent on doing that. I just found it hilarious that Kevin Craft of all people was a 5 star recruit.

Yea this is one of the dumbest features they've added. 50% of the time the new recruits don't even receiver offers from other programs and even then not till week 3-4. I would be willing to bet $1000 that no recruit has ever gone from unranked in the summer to 5 star by national signing day. 5 star are rare talents that usually displaying several dynamic attributes separating them from everyone else on the field. Not something gained over night.

The college hoops series did this. Recruits moved up and down in rankings from their freshman year of HS until their senior year. You might have a 1* kid as a freshman end up as a 4* senior, and a 5* freshman end up as a 2* senior. It's a great feature for CH, and they had it in the game for several years, so I don't see why they can't do it in NCAA Football.
Once upon a time, I had a lovely signature. Then it died. The end.

My point with Craft was that he WAS a 1 star at Mt. Sac and became a 5 star midway through his recruitment (if I remember correctly upon committing to UCLA). Of course that makes you question why they did that to begin with...

I'm more for the idea of a few recruits not starting out on the list, then periodically throughout the season a few pop up as 2 or 3 stars. At the same time, have recruits move around in rankings, but even if a guy goes from a 5 to a 3, he could still have the ability to develop into a premier player. Not all of them, just one or two in a class or so. Then have some of the 3 stars that jump up to 5 stars end up really being 3 stars who played over their head, while others are legit 5 stars.

They tried to do that in NCAA Basketball 09, but if somebody moved up, they were guaranteed better than someone ranked worse than them.
