during the development of madden 10, a human being with common sense is going to tell you that the diving animation in madden 10 look stupid and rediculus.

the diving tackle animation in madden 09 look 100,000,000 better than bs in madden 10. patch it cause it look stupid.

Don't you have anything else to worry about... Why don't you look at what Ian and Company did do for the game, and you're worried about a stupid dive animation. Why don'y you try actually designing and producing a game, then come talk the talk. What would you rather have, a game like Madden 09 or Madden 10. Also, try practicing some constructive criticism for once.

I'm not defending the poster, but it's funny how these Madden fanboys bring out the "well why don't you try making a good game?" line. If I had all the resources that EA has I could make a better game. It's just sad that EA has to put out a game every year, cuz as the past has shown it's difficult to make great strides in only one year.

I'm curious. Do you have any game creation experience? Having the resources is one thing, but having the game development knowledge is another. I'm sure you have a lot of great and terrific ideas that would make Madden an even sweeter game, heck, many of us do. Like I said however, having the knowledge to implement the ideas is another thing.

Do you happen to know for a fact the EA developers degrees or something? Are you seriously claiming they have some superior development knowledge?

EA as the worlds largest motion capture studio and admitting are still referring back to 2k to help improve the game.

The animation transitions in this game are just down right hideous, the time shifting and warping required for players to interact is inexcusable.

Regardless of what education level the EA guys have, you have to question the drive or dedication when you look at the overall progress of this game.

After 5+ years on the job, you can set education levels aside. This type of band aid fixes and progress are just not cutting it anymore.

I think complaining about the subpar dive animation carries a lot more substance than 90% of the stuff people complain about on here.

Diving is a pretty big part of a football game and the animation for it could be better and it shouldn't be that hard to get it right.

I am often amazed at how game developers overlook some of the most basic and important parts of their game presentation. Like the mediocre halftime "show" for NBA 2K10 that is just about to come out.

Another one that comes to mind is the lack of instant replay on most touchdowns for Madden 2010 (eventhough they will address it in patch #2, it should have been obvious to them before the game shipped)

How about taking a snapshot of how much better 10 is than 09?

I disliked 09 with a passion, but anyone, educated or not, can tell the major differences between 09 and 10.

Maybe it's headed in the right direction. That's something both of us don't know at this time, but I have more hope than I had previous years.

Well we have clearly seen what 2k5 and 2k8 could do. So either admit they had far better programmers or keep you fanboy blinders on. Since i know WHAT CAN BE DONE, i EXPECT alot from ea.

ea has the hitstick 2.0. WOW. 2k8 had a reach tackle system along with basic tackles and guess what.... a big hit option. Of course 2k wasnt perfect and of course madden never will be. The fact that we know there can be far better done but were stuck with madden. What i find really funny is the way they have convinced people to be happy with their produect and actually think its decent. The actual x's and o's of 2k8 put madden to absoult shame. That is sign enough maddens guys are lost.

Oh but keep being a fanboy. Im not. i actually think ian did a great job changing the direction of madden. that doesnt mean that madden is anywhere near what it could be. I personally know that ian is doing great and trying but ea will only let him spend so much money before they say "we dont have any competition anyway people will buy it reguardless."
