.5 minute quarters is unacceptable. It is unacceptable. 2k HAS to change this before release or patch it because it could very well ruin the whole "my player" mode. We want realistic stats and realistic minutes. If you think it would cause a problem for skill points then just make it 8 minute quarters for everyone. 8 minute quarters are not that long, casual gamers will love playing it and the hardcore sim fans will appreciate the realistic statistics it will bring. We are playing "My Player" mode for a reason and it is so we can feel how it's like to be an NBA player. How do you want to realistically feel like an NBA superstar when you play in an NBA where 60-70 pts total is the standard ? where NBA superstars average about 15 ppg ? It just ruins the whole experience. If you think like me, sign your username on this petition and MAYBE, maybe 2k will take notice

2K is supposedly worried about the skill points that your player will have throughout the games, or something like that.

I'm pretty sure the Devs can somehow fix this issue, as many players disagree with it; the main reason being that your created player won't get proportional stats to the real NBA.

To make it even worse, other games in My player mode are simulated with 12min Q's, so every team averages 95-105 points and yours is stuck with 70 in best case

So 2k made this mode to allow the user to feel like he is part of the real NBA experience yet when you play in the league you'll see the top scorer average 15 ppg and top rebounders average 6 reb per game. This will without a doubt will be a mode killer for many people particularly the guys who want the stats true to the real deal.

I dont know why they didnt just set it to 8 min quarters, seems like the most logical number for people who want realistic stats yet accommodating the guys(like me) who don't have enough free time or simply don't want to spend 48 mins+ per game.

another reason why i hate the invention of online gameplay.

Just make it that in order to play online with a player you have to play on standardized options, thus giving you the option to create a player for that and another save game for offline play.

Definitely sth that will keep me from playing my player more than sporadically. I´m sorry, but this is kind of a deal breaker.

Plus now that we can save mid game, there is no excuse. If someone doesn't have the time to do 8 or 9 minutes. Just save and come back.

No, a person who got the game early gave out this information. Reaosn being that 2K wants every player in the world using this mode developping their players at the same rate.
