LOL, It was a wild game. I got behind early and had to play catch up most of the game. Bush is so fumble prone I am scared to run with him, and My other RB's suck.

I know what it's like to be scared of giving the ball to a back. McFadden had a glass jaw and put the rock on the ground quite a bit.

Pierre Thomas is a decent back--is he still on your squad? I remember being surprised by his power when I saw him on TV.

BTW, this is the first big upset of the year. DET is already better than last year. I wonder what we'd set the over/under at for wins for them?

NO is still a 12 win team with that offense. You'll get 'em next week.

I guess I'm going to play it since no owner has stepped in. If the owner comes in late and the game needs to be reset I'd probably be okay with that.

We won't reset. Nobody has expressed interest in TB since Shiz dropped them for TN.

If a new owner comes in, he'll just have to embrace his record, whatever it is.

Tampa is the only CPU-controlled team now, right?

Glad to see the league has filled up fast. The less CPU teams, the better.

Shiz just PMed and said he's in the middle of a move and won't be able to play for a couple of weeks. I told him I want him in, but he's going to get back to me on that.

So now it's CLE, TB, and a potential TN.

Please, please send me recs. I want this thing filled out.I agree that users are infinitely better than the CPU.

Shiz has confirmed his commitment, but is waiting to get internet at his new place. TN's opponents will play the CPU until Shiz PMs me to confirm that he's ready. Should only be 3 to 4 games.

So the open teams are CLE and TB.

Jaguars stun Colts in season opener!

GG mojorises! I know that our next meeting will be much closer; I got lucky with the big plays. Peyton Manning remained focused and delivered some great passes. The next game should be very close.

Nice efficiency in your first game, Danny!

I've put hours into learning my PIT playbook so I can stop sucking on offense. I've racked up some 40+ point games with them recently.. They are capable, I just need to harness their power. Roethlisberger throws so good off PA and on the run.

Anyone know how to throw jump balls? I am just trying to figure out how to utilize tall WR's. For example, if you had Moss or Calvin Johnson, are you able to throw a jump ball against ANY single coverage (zone OR man) and have a shot at the ball? Have people tried under-throwing on purpose against zones to get a jump ball? I may try this out tomorrow.

Also, anyone else notice run blocking got a lot better? They definitely adjusted the default slider for that aspect of the game. I'm getting a lot better blocking, especially on pulls. I like it, it forces opponents to respect the run, not try to sit in dime and let their miraculous block shedding DL stop power runs. I had insanely good success running powers and isos against DB heavy defenses. This is definitely for the better.

The best way I find to get a jump ball is one on one man coverage down field with user catching. I tend to try to slight over throw the ball. I have never tried to under throw the ball before, I think with the engine the ball would comeback too low and your giving the DB too much a chance to comeback to the ball at a low point in Madden.

Run blocking is definately better post patch. I have been getting gashed my the run lately, previous to the patch I would run a cover 1 man to shut the down the pass and it could stop the run as well. I find that defense is worthless against the run now, I have had to scheme around and find that zone blitzes seem more effective against the run because if they get into the secondary there is help to stop from breaking the big run. In C1 defense if my LB missed I was in trouble. Overall zone seems more effective than before and man seems a bit less effective than before. These are all good things but I have had to learn the hard way. It is very exciting to see the run game look effective in a Madden game.

I had to bow out due to some unforseen outside issues but wanted to drop a line and wish you all the best of luck as you restart the season. I'll be following along. Who knows, maybe I'll jump back in if there's any openings at the end of the 1st season?

Philip Rivers throws five picks in Oakland resulting in a big loss for the Chargers home opener. McFadden was a beast and could not be stopped. Richard Seymour had a drastic impact on the Raiders defense...thanks league reset  The Chargers have some tough matches in the coming weeks, including: the Ravens, Dolphins, and Pittsburgh. Until then, Philip Rivers will be throwing footballs through tires and the defense will practice tackling greased pigs and running their aces off. Good game mattray214! Glad to be your first victim in the league.
