I'm still concerned that there's some favoritism toward the Human player in Coach mode. I won again in a San Diego vs. San Diego game last night by 10+ points. I'm going to try a few tweaks this morning.
Statistically, though, everything still seems very solid post-patch in Coach mode. I think the only possible adjustment is to slightly lower the Human running game.Comment

I played another Coach mode game just now and it doesn't seem like there's much question that the Human player runs better than the CPU, even in Coach mode. I don't know if it's play selection or what, but it's a significant difference. I'm going to lower Human run blocking first (and slightly increase CPU run blocking) to see if that will balance it out.
Passing, on the other hand looks solid with only some very minor tweaks. And everything else looks good. So I'm hoping this doesn't take long to balance.Comment

Sorry, should have said CPU running, not CPU run blocking. I'm working with reaction time, but the adjustments that are easy to make (like increasing CPU break tackle or reducing Human tackling skill) make the game play quite a bit "cheaper," so I'm trying to stay away from those.
I've made some adjustments today and the games are getting closer, but I'm still winning easier than I should.Comment

Yes. But my base is the coach sliders--if I can balance them, then it's fairly easy to adjust for a play version--so I'm doing the coach sliders first. Plus, there are a ton of guys with play slider sets, but there aren't many coach sets out there.Comment

I just read that thread and felt very disheartened. Obviously some ratings matter (Speed) but it appears that others have no effect at all.Comment

But we can all certainly see the difference between a great player and a bad player in the game--I see it all the time. I'd love to test that with the settings we're using, but I'm spending way too much time trying to balance settings already.Comment

A short update. I played four games today and I swear there's some kind of "human bonus" in the patch. To make coach mode competitive, I've really had to increase the difference in settings for Human versus CPU.
Hopefully, I'll have some beta settings for volunteers to test tomorrow. Tuesday at the latest.Comment

I know you're working only on the coach sliders right now but can you help me with something on your play sliders. Every game pre or post patch the HUMAN running game is just way too easy. I always play with the Ravens and there hasnt been a game yet I havent had a RB go over 100 yards. Now I know we got some studs in B-more but come on every game its 120-150 yards. In no way, am I a joystick pro either. I'm too old to be able to do all the moves I see some people being able to do with their RB's.
