XFLOutLaw's Real Sim Custom Sliders (Post Patch)

These sliders are not made to make the game harder but to make the gameplay more realistic to its NFL counterparts.

Ok this is my first ever attempt to create sliders for a madden game and I think I did pretty good. I've read up on other sliders and tested others and there are some good ones out there like.....http://www.operationsports.com/forums/madden-nfl-football-sliders/359141-dfos81s-sliders-slow-speed-ready-testing.html....and...http://www.operationsports.com/forums/madden-nfl-football-sliders/347566-playmakers-madden-10-custom-sliders.html. After a few of you guys tested my sliders i was told CPU couldnt really establish a running game expecially teams with fast backs. After a couple days of review and slider tests, the threshold of 60 wasnt very good for fast backs who normally arent great tackle breakers. So I've played a couple of games and test through the practice mode and I think i have found a good slider set that makes the game similar to a real NFL and allowing fast backs to make impacts on the games like they should.

Here are the stats form my game I just played with the new slider sets the game was an offensive shootout like it would be in real life for both teams.

Interesting. I like what I see. I'll give them a shot to see how they play out and post my results (likely on Tuesday).

Re: XFLOutLaw's Real Sim Custom Sliders (Post Patch)

Hey mate just played a Play Now game using Texans (me) vs Giants. It was a fun game to play I scored on a 1 yard run by Steve Slaton with 30 seconds left to take lead 23-20.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>
        <o></o>
It was a defensive game for the most part. The Giants played great defense shutting me out 3-0 in the 1st quarter. I in return shut them out in the 2nd quarter Manning couldn’t get anything going at all. Something really weird happened in the 2nd. I had a great drive going mid-way through the quarter. Steve Slaton broke a 20 yard run and ran it down at the 1 yard line. He lost the ball trying to leap into the endzone and the Giants recovered the ball at their own 1 yard line. The very next play I pick Manning off and walk the ball into the endzone to take a 13-3 lead. That right there was the play of the game. In the 3rd, Manning hooked up with Hixon on a 62 yard TD pass to make the score 13-10. Late in the 3rd, I had a nice drive going getting to about midfield. Hand the ball to Slaton and he caughs the ball up again. Another turnover. The Giants take advantage and march down the field on a 7 minute drive and cap it off on a 14 yard TD catch by Boss. Score is 17-14 Giants going into the 4th quarter.<o></o>
        <o> </o>
I tied the game at 17 a piece on a 40 yard FG with 9:54 remaining. It went back and forth defensively until Tynes hit a 44 yarder with 2:53 to play and made the score 20-17 Giants. I get the ball back with 2:30 left to play and drive down the field. I have 1st and goal at the 1 yard line with 20 seconds left, hand it off to Slaton who dives in for the game winning score. I win 23-17.<o></o>
        <o> </o>
It was a really fun game. The giants passed well, played good defense and gave me a good dose of Jacobs and Bradshaw. I would like to see the CPU run more maybe up the human rush D reaction time by 10 or so? I think that would do it. <o></o>
        <o> </o>
        Here are some stats:<o></o>
        <o> </o>
        Giants: 3, 0, 14, 3: 20<o></o>
        Texans: 0, 13, 0, 10: 23<o></o>
        <o> </o>
        Giants / Texans<o></o>
        <o> </o>
        Total offense: 344 / 332 <o></o>
        Rushing yards: 59 / 63<o></o>
        Passing yards: 285 / 269<o></o>
        First downs: 13 / 16<o></o>
        Turnovers: 1 / 2 <o></o>
        3rd down: 6-11 / 6-10<o></o>
        T.O.P: 19:59 / 28:01<o></o>
        <o> </o>
So just by looking at those stats it was a pretty fairly evenly matched game and a fun game to play. Here are some player numbers<o></o>
        <o> </o>
        Schaub: 21 / 31, 276 yards,<o></o>
        Manning: 18 / 30, 285 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT<o></o>
        Slaton: 18 carries / 54 yards 1 TD / 6 catches / 95 yards<o></o>
        Jacobs: 14 carries / 48 yards <o></o>
        Bradshaw: 2 carries / 7 yards<o></o>
        Smith: 5 rec / 80 yards<o></o>
        Boss: 2 rec / 26 yards 1TD<o></o>
        Johnson: 8 rec / 78 yards <o></o>
        Daniels: 6 rec / 93 yards<o></o>
There you have it. Sorry for the long write up thought you’d like some detailed info for testing. Will play some more games tomorrow.<o></o>
        <o> </o>
Overall, good and fun game to play. Very competitive. Never thought like I was out of the game nor did I feel I was in control the entire game.<o></o>
        <o> </o>
Keep up the great work, Jon<o></o>

It sounded like it was a good game...as far as the computer running the ball more there isnt much you can change about their play calling unless you create a franchise controlling all 32 teams and move their run/pass ratio to favor more of the run but i noticed that too... and as far as me changing the human def reaction +10 thats a little high maybe 3-5 range will be good ill have to play around with it to see... I will be playing games to update the slider for a more real feel to the game constantly so continue to check back if i notice more of the problems with the fumbles too...also thank you for you feedback.

The game felt pretty good and the stats were pretty good. It was just one of those games where everything just went my way and the eagles could never get anything going. Despite the score i think we should make their run game slightly better. I know we dnt want speed backs numbers getting inflated but westbrook should be way better even against a great defense like the giants. Sorry for the long post but i plan on trying to help you create the best game possible. Great Base though

I was thinking the same thing but i wasnt too sure....the thing that is probably killing westbrook is that threshold....it isnt the best for fast rbs....ill look in to it...maybe better blocking for cpu thanks for your input working on it now

Sorry i took a couple of days off. Another update on the sliders. Huge update on defense on both sides of the ball, it was too easy to score before. Just played a really close game with these sliders going down to the 2 minute drill offense to win the game.....

ATL was run heavy with Turner so it killed some time off of the clock.

Most of the sliders are good but needs to adjust some parts...Naturally depends on the user...

These are the best sliders I have come across post-patch! Played two games with them and they work great! I would post my game stats but I am kinda lazy. LOL. I can tell you, however, that I played with the Texans against the Raiders and the Cardinals. Beat the raiders 24-21 and lost to the cardinals 27-21. Both games were very realistic. The only thing, if I may, that I saw wrong was the fact that even with Mario Williams I was not able to sack either QB. I tried different blitzes to help my front four but couldn't bring them down. Hurried them but didn't sack them. If you could tweak that a bit it would be awsome! The game flow seemed great. If you could figure something out for the pass rush you would have the perfect sliders! I am working on the penalty sliders because there have only been 4 penalties in the last two games for me and the CPU. I will let you know what I come up with. I remember espically a couple times running with Slaton and breaking defenders ankles ankles only to fumble. That is very realistic! Good Job Outlaw.

These are the BEST sliders I have tried by far.

It actually feels like I am playing an NFL football game. It is hard to score, you really feel like you are battling for position, on both sides of the ball, and there is still the ability to pull off the big play downfield.

After trying a few other sets on these boards and finding them far from satisfactory, I saw these and gave them a go, and am loving them.

                              Great work!
I will see you at THE SHOW!!
