Will Madden Get A 3rd Patch?

NCAA just got a third patch to fix progression and some online issues. Does that mean that Madden can get a third patch also? If so, this would be great news because I don't think the 2nd patch will fix all of the problems that we still have with the game. Ian, can you answer this for us?

whats funny is the same exact things were being said about NCAA '10 when people were asking if there would be a 3rd patch for that game. I wonder how that turned out?

I don't know how NCAA did it, but we've been reading that two patches are the max allowed.

Most likely, not. Madden and NCAA usually patch only twice.

Edit- Didn't know that the college game came out with patch #3 yesterday.

I don't know how NCAA did it, but we've been reading that two patches are the max allowed.

2 patches are free. Any patch that is done after the 2 freebies, the dev must pay for.

Yeah I've heard that from several people/websites now. I guess its' probably true.

I know Fallout 3 got a 3rd patch. But the 3rd patch for that game fixed a saved game glitch while loading up some DLC they put out. Since people paid for the DLC... Bethesda had no choice but to pay to fix the issue in a 3rd patch...

In all likelyhood there will be no 3rd patch for Madden. But it is possible.

Wait and see what patch #2 does though.... I mean jeez Phillyax... Its not even out yet and your poopooing it??

There's no way EA, and their developer can afford to pay for a patch. They didnt make any profit on this game

I bet Ian and the staff are hard at work, removing the horrible 2-in-1 tackle, as well as the hitch from the running, and fixing the stats issue, and correcting the blocks on the back of the helmets....and..well, you get the point.


Or, maybe they're busy playing some football.

If that is the case, then you know that the feature that they patched must have been really broken!

Whats the big deal that Madden/EA/Tiburon have to pay for a 3rd patch? Is Madden not one of their biggest games bringing in great revenue? Do your customers right and give them a game free of major/noticeable bugs and stop removing things from years past.

They should put out a weekly patch to correct the problems that each previous patch creates.
