Thanks Czar! Especially for including the Warriors! Especially because your clip ended with my Dubs up 11-0! Very realistic! (I'm not being sarcastic either )...

Two things I saw with Warrior tendencies that were not entirely accurate...Ellis is actually a fairly poor 3-point shooter and therefore rarely takes any in reality...he jacked up 3 of them in the first 3-4 minutes of your game...

Second, Biedrins took a 17 foot jumper when in reality he would not take a shot beyond 7 feet...

Otherwise everything looked great...I'm looking forward to picking this game up...I loved how guys were missing open looks...the Knicks had good looks but could not hit anything...Harrington was bricking which he tends to do sometimes (I know being a Warrior fan)...

The one thing I hate about Live is that they can never get the out of bounds correctly done. There's always feet over the line yet they never call it.

(In Czar's video of GSW @ NY, right at about 2:34 pause it and you'll see it's either over the line or right on it.)

Re: NBA live 10 Retail Video thread

The beginning announcements really need some work. "Two of the NBA's biggest stars Chris Duhon and Andris Biedrins"... "two of the NBA's best playmakers go head-to-head"... WTF? They need to tie those to positions or not compare the players directly... sounds like they're introducing a CP3/Deron battle or something but it's damn Beans and Duhon who don't ever even face eachother directly and aren't even close to stars in the league.

And yeah, the commentary in general is disappointing Hopefully when the season kicks in, it'll get better, but I'm not holding out much hope. Not the biggest concern for me, but I'm disappointed by what I've heard so far.

That Golden State vs. NY video was kind of disappointing. Maybe it's my CPU monitor but I didn't notice the ambiance of MSG. Some of the dribble moves didn't seem fluid. It seemed way too many 3's were launched up. I know these are run and gun teams, but it seemed overdone just from a 4 minute video. As others noted, Duhon vs. Biedrens isn't a superstar match up and the commentary was pretty stale.

In the Germany vs. France video, at the 3:17 mark, 3 of the players on the France team are all doing the same defensive stance animation in unison.

Was that CPU v CPU in the Knicks/Warriors vid? Almost every time either the PG took the shot or the first guy to whom the PG passed took the shot. There was hardly any posting or moving the ball around. I've noticed a lot of that with CPU v CPU play.

Re: NBA live 10 Retail Video thread

Yeah it was CPU vs. CPU. Seems as if the game plays better when there's a human giving it some input on one end or the other. Who knows if this is due to not having new DNA updates or whatever else it could be, but I was kinda disappointed with the offense also... mostly Monta chucking threes (and making them) and Beans taking that long off-balance shot with time on the clock. I know just from playing the demo that it doesn't go that way all the time with a human messing with it... The Knicks ran the same exact sequence 3 times in a row (pass to cutting big, hit guard for a wing three) as well.

I'm not getting worried or anything, but that video didn't do the game much justice as far as I can tell. No offense Czar... big thanks for taking the time to make and post the videos and for all your impressions/questions taken.

I don't want to step on anyone toes....

I think i've seen enough now. I appreciate the videos Czar but here's why i think there's something not working properly with DNA and I know they'll say well it is't updated yet but hey last years DNA should still be a factor right?

The Knicks and Warriors are arguably two of the worst defensive teams in the NBA I think we can all agree on that right?

Why is both teams transistion defense off the charts as if they are the Spurs or Celtics. I mean seriously neither team could score in transistion because both sides were able to get back and setup quickly

We are talking about Don Nelson and Mike D'Antoni coached teams in transistion defense here not Greg Poppovich or Doc Rivers.

                          Biendrins WTF was that?

The dude might take that shot at the 3:05 mark once every 50 games and yet he pulled the trigger already in a 5 minute video.

Biendrins is a glass eater/garbage man not a outside shooting Big like Okur or Nowitzki.....................

And the final headache was the guy stepping out of bounds at the 2:11 mark with no call being made but it did lead to yes you guessed it a terrible CPU pass.

Why EA would you take away the boundary force field slider?

I mean seriously if guys are going to step out of bounds how about giving us a slider to prevent it. Instead your asking us to ACT LIKE IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. The ref's are blind or what in this SIM game.

I'm afraid to watch anything longer than the video posted because knowing me i'm gonna see things that are going to really get me frustrated.

Oh yeah i did see something good by the way both teams taking quick shots which is expected from the Knicks and Warriors. I could argue that Golden St is a swiss cheese defense and the Knicks should have attacked the basket more but hey it's not really worth debating it IMO.

I just think regardless of what people say since the Defensive ratings are basically scrapped and the DNA ties into defense now how the heck do we seperate the Knicks and Warriors transistion defense from the Spurs or Celtics.....If the ratings are hidden then someone needs to make sure neither one of those teams are OVERATED defensively unless there's some kind of catch up logic on defense I just can't see how that is possible for neither team to get a transistion bucket.

Good job EA with Live 10 i think the problem is me and my expectations are unrealistic for this years game.

It's nothing new to me it's been that way for 4 years now. I was just giving the teams in the video the benefit of the doubt.

You think i like seeing that crap or something every year. I was hoping this year they would finally blow 2K's azz out the water so right now I'm very dissapointed.

All these cats asking questions and shiiit about shoe colors and headbands around here. Showing off their stick skills and shiit and it's like the other part of the game play the CPU was a damn afterthought.

I don't think i've been this down since the Mavs choked away the NBA Finals in 06.
