A problem that has probably not been addressed

So I turned on my demo and allowed the AI to play against each other by letting the game go into "demo mode". I noticed Orlando beat LA 12-5, so I allowed the AI to play each other again. This time Orlando won 8-6. Out of ten games LA only won 2.

This is a problem because LA should be the ones winning 8 out of ten, since they are 1)the better team 2)playing at home.

I also noticed that in the ten games Orlando had 8 uncontested dunks while LA only had 1 (kobe on the fastbreak)

So I have a question after seeing this. Will NBA 2k10 have "TEAM TENDENCIES" or only "player tendencies"?
Because LA wasn't playing Laker basketball imo.

2K, please make sure my favorite team can't ever lose or I'm going to switch to Backyard Basketball 2010 thanks.

Its actually a pretty big problem imo. If this is simulation ball, the lakers should be winning. Unless Vince is going to have a positive impact on his team and ron is gona have a negative on his. I can see the grizzlies beating LA in demo mode simply because the AI wont miss an open shot, with their guards

4 minutes is the key here.

momentum swings can last 5 minutes in either direction. Span that 4 min. instance to a full game, and it may look different.

Please expain why this post is dumb. You can call me stupid all day, but unless you have an argument, what's the point?

In real life, lakers are a better team. But when you sim games in 2k10 (a simulation basketball game) orlando comes out on top.

At this point, thats what im hoping for. LA does tend to come back and win games more than some other teams do. I hope that the fact it is only a 4 minute quarter is the reason orl is winning

Well, despite the negative comments around here I would have to agree to an extent.

In 2K simulation, upsets happen more often than not. I think this has something to do with the "true random" mechanic but I don't know, I don't program basketball games. (Only other type of games and general programs) Especially on simmed playoffs, a lot of crazy winners will emerge so I'm not surprised.

How can you say a New team vs a new team is better? Its not possible its like saying the mets should of won them a World series but they host the 5th worst record in MLB. Vince -Ariza + Ron - Turiaf + etc Equals 09-10 Magic vs. 09-10 Lakers season starts in 26 days man

It's just a quarter man. Right? Does the "better" team HAVE to score more points each quarter...NO.

I can't defend this one though. I can't put my cred on the line for this.
