How to trade for Edwards in Jets franchise?

I'm having some trouble, hope anyone can help me out.

I offered Stuckey (71 ovr), Trusnik (63 ovr) and a 3rd Round Pick, and they rejected. I went on to try every other draft pick (even a 1st rounder) without asking for anything but Edwards in return, interest was HIGH, but the trade was rejected.

I am up to the upcoming Miami game, coincidentally, and rather trade for him before I play the game.

Any tips?

I don't have any suggestions, but this is a perfect example of where a "force" trade option would be great. Many other sports consoles games have them and we really need one in Madden for exactly this type of situation.

I was meessing around earlier trying to find a way to do it. They won't even take 2 1st's and Stuckey for Edwards so it doesn't really seem possible without giving up a 'star' :/

Donny Moore has said the Edwards trade and Crabtree will be in the new update which will probably be Friday morning.

I already started my franchise, that's why I am asking about how to make the trade to work.

What I have always tried to do is go to the browns tradeblock screen and see what they are searching for then try editing FA to fit the bill... For instance if a team is looking for a LE or RE i would sign Boss Bailey and then edit him to an LE/RE that raises his overall to an 83 and makes him very tradeable.... Just tinker around and try to find the right fit..... Me though im screwed cus I just hit week 7 passing the trade deadline

Picks aren't worth much in this game.

Sucks, unrealistic (very), but true. Even 1sts, especially if your team is good.

You have to give someone close to or greater in OVR in all likelihood. Braylon is an 85 OVR - so a 71...not going to work, even with "High" interest.

You could probably swing LB Pace (82 OVR) into a deal that they'd take. Not sure if you want to give him up.

As the Ravens, I could get him for a 1st and SS D. Landry (82 OVR).

Maybe Leonhard (79 OVR), WR Stuckey, and a 1st could get him as the Jets?

Also another example of the game "making it harder" instead of "making it realistic".

This very trade is realistic (it just happened), but Madden won't take it.

They should really change Trusnik's Overall seems the trade is uneven in the game

Just select Braylon Edwards and just so long as the Browns have enough WRs that they won't go under the team requirements you can "edit" him and change his position to like DT or QB something where his overall will drop allot. Then just do the real trade and when he gets to your team change him back to a WR. I don't know the Browns receiver situation off the top of my head right now but I'm sure they have enough.

And if they don't, they probably have extras somewhere else - change that player to a WR then Braylon to something else, trade, then change the other guy back. Like change Ratliff into a WR (only need 2 QBs and they have 3) then change Braylon to a QB, trade for Braylon, then change him back to WR and Ratliff back to QB.

I don't think the Browns have enough to edit him. They only have 5 and I think that's the minimum?

So if i understand correctly if I have already started my franchise, then the only to get Crabtree, the Edwards trade, Seau, is to do it all manually with create a players and trades?

Don't know - but you could always do it before starting your franchise.

Alter the roster, start your franchise, then make the trade.
