Broadcast intergration?
With the recent post on NCAA Basketball 10 having integrated broadcast this year do you think well see this in NCAA football next year? Even if they go the basketball route and only give us two stations with ESPN/ABC for the big games and CBS for the featured SEC game it would still be great.Tags: None -
Re: Broadcast intergration?
Well since EA already has a deal with CBS I wouldn't count it out. But (and this is a big but), we are talking about the worst EA team as far as presentation goes. I mean, I never thought we'd be asking for team entrances for 4 years.NCAA: BSU/GONZ
NFL: SEA
NBA: POR
MLB: SEA
EFL: BHA
MLS: POR -
Re: Broadcast intergration?
I've already said this but if they did 1 network for 1 specific conference, they better have a specific network for the all the BCS conferences or I won't buy the game. Especially if that 1 conference that gets the specific network is the SEC.Comment

Re: Broadcast intergration?
This. I think I would rather just see all ESPN. The BTN announcers are borderline horendous, and some B10 teams only play at most 3 games on there. Like Michigan, in all likelihood, after the Delaware St game, the rest of their games will be on ESPN. The DSU game would be Michigan's 3rd game on the BTN this season, and thats already more than they have been on the BTN in the past.MLB: New York Yankees
NCAAF: Michigan Wolverines
NCAAB: Cincinnati Bearcats
NFL: Houston Texans
NBA: New York Knicks

Co-sign, and everytime they bring something back from the PS2 days, it's not as good or complete as it was back then.
And I think it shows great respect to the consumer to go to the length of including CBS for the sole purpose of the NCAA tourney. If that is not striving for realism, I don't know what is. Finally, one mode of a game will undoubtedly feel different from just a regular season game. And it'll be fresh, new with new graphics, announcers, etc.
Meanwhile, we can't even bowl game patches or conference/bowl game replay shutters...like we HAD on PS2. I'm seriously thinking about trying to find out how to contact some higher up at Tiburon and just make known what the feelings of the customers are. Somebody needs a fire lit under their butt ala Madden, now NCAA BasketballComment

Re: Broadcast intergration?
We'll be lucky to even get a more realistic EA presentation. ESPN would be great but we can forget about multiple broadcast crews.
If we can get a presentation similar to last gen, bowl patches and team entrances, I would be satisfied.
I am under no illusion that this development team can pull anything like this off.Comment

If EA NCAA Basketball can do it, EA NCAA Football can do itComment

Re: Broadcast intergration?
Well since it seems every EA sports game is getting presentation makeovers this year EXCEPT my beloved NCAA Football...I dont know.
The NCAA FB team is absolutely terrible, EA needs to scrap them and get some guys who actually know college football. Theres a hope they'll actually get the presentation and atmosphere right...but how long have we been saying that?
I dont even care if NCAA FB has broadcast integration, yeah thats nice, but if they can just improve and get something similar to what 06 had, with a few enhacements, I'd be happy. I want everything to feel like I'm at a college football game.
The way the crowds react is something you might hear at a bottom level high school teams stadium. Its terrible. I hate making a big play and having little reaction from the crowd. Its a hollow feeling.
I'm rambling...lol. Point is EA STEP IT UP WITH NCAA FOOTBALL!Last edited by NoDakHusker; 10-11-2009, 11:55 AM.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Re: Broadcast intergration?
How come everyone hates the SEC? Is it because the Big Ten had to make up their own network because what their contract would be worth with ESPN or CBS or ABC is worth less than the paper it would be printed on? The SEC draws, other teams don't, face it. Plus the CBS thing isn't all that great, Hellen Keller would provide better commentary than ole Verne Lundquist or whatever his name is. CBS has been SEC exclusive for a while anyways. ABC provides a wide variety of conference matchups and I think the commentary is a little better.Comment

Re: Broadcast intergration?
completely 2 different studio. EA canada is the baskeball, hockey and fifa development site. Which in the last few years have put out very quality titles with nba live 10 and ncaa 10 finally coming up to par (hopefully)Comment

SEC draws? Yeah I guess they do but I have no idea why. SEC conference games are so boring! 13 to 3? 10 to 7? Yeah that's fun to watch. I can not sit through a whole SEC conference game, it's like watchin two flies f***.How come everyone hates the SEC? $10 says that NCAA Football 11 will probably have a 1/2 a$$ed version of what Madden 10 is. But we may have a new mode called Tailgating Frenzy. Essentially, you have to flip as many hamburgers as possible on the grill without any of them falling on the groundComment
