What the hell happened to defense? Why make it a non-factor?
I feel like I'm playing Madden '06 all over again. Flat zones still don't work which is a joke, and the yellow zones are absolutely useless. They don't cover anything up the seam and they react awfully to slants.
To top it all off, to cater to most of the people here, they added super-man run blocking for those that couldn't read blocks pre-patch. Why do this? It ruins the game.
Everyone I've talked to said defense is basically a non factor, games are shootouts constantly. Man, how can you possibly enjoy playing defense on this game?
An offense can consist of a fast QB, PA X Clown, Goaline HB Off Tackle, and 2 WR screens. If they blitz, hit the slot screen or normal screen. If they come out in Nickel, Dime, Quarter, audible down to HB Off tackle and pound it for 5+ yards on their DBs. If they don't blitz, do some PA X Clown with your fast Quarterback, run around like your heads cut off, and eventually find a man open while throwing on the run facing the other goal post.
Not to mention that you have to account for streaks down the seam that 95% of the zones don't cover, and the slants, and the flats.
