Re: how do you export teams?

So now you'll be in Association with your wrong-numbered Lakers. From here, I would go to the "Save/Load" screen, or perhaps "Options" (though I believe it's the former) and there may be an option to export on one of those screens. If you still do not see "export", try selecting the button that says "Save". This may give you an option to save your franchise or export a team. Again, I haven't worked on this in 2K10 so I do not know for sure. But the "export" option should be somewhere in the "Save/Load" vincinity.

Once you have exported your team, it should be automatically saved as a "team" file. You can exit your Association and load up whatever roster you're planning on saving your Lakers to. Let's presume you're going to add them to a roster titled "Classic '88". In this case, you would have to load your Classic '88 roster. Once you have done this, you will then have to load your exported Lakers file. This should put your exported team on the Classic '88 roster, likely at the beginning of the alphabet.

From my understanding, it's here that you'll be able to edit the jersey numbers to whatever you wish, as it's not officially the Lakers, rather it's the "exported" Lakers. You will want to make sure you save your roster once you have finished your adjustments. I've read that you can repeat this process with 8-10 teams per roster.

One caveat I have read is that exporting a team with created players will revert those created players' faces back to default in the process. So that could be a slight drawback if, say, you're attempting to export the '93 Bulls with a created Michael Jordan. The workaround in this case would be to upload the created Jordan to the 2KShare server with his correct number then download him and assign him to your team of choice. I think I've read that players downloaded will not be affected by the retired number thing, so a downloaded Jordan would retain his 23 when assigned to the Bulls.

Again, I haven't done any of this in 2K10, so I apologize if I'm misguided but I figured I'd at least give it a shot since no one else had spoken up at this point.
wow, that's a very good description on how to do it and what I was looking for when I asked this question. Thanks alot for the long description. Hope it works!
