Re: Forza 3 Discussion...
Oh my god. I was sold on this game as soon as I saw the hello kitty car in the review video. But the Iron Man car pic is just sick as hell.
Now I will just lay myself to sleep with my phone ringer on (in case my pals gave me a beep about the game availability) and wake up when the game is release.

Re: Forza 3 Discussion...
Got my Walmart.com preorder in Monday's mail. I even went with the cheapest shipping method - UPS Mail Innovations ($2.47) and got it a day before the earliest day they said I'd get it! Forza 3 is really sweet so far, even with the powerhouse Ford Fiesta that I'm currently using in career mode. I found 68 degrees offset works best for me in cockpit mode... distance to steering wheel feels about the right distance away there, but this may vary from car to car a bit.
I've got the AI's set to medium, and that may be just a tad bit too easy. I've finished no lower than second in 9 races (E class naturally), but I would have had even less problems beating them if I had hooked my steering wheel up.
I can already see that there's a lot of depth to the game though. I tried to find a race online in multiplayer, but nothing was brewing. The race search options are a bit confusing and seemingly limited, but I haven't explored the manual nor the options fully enough to know whether it's user error or not...Duke Football? Re: Forza 3 Discussion...
That's odd, because there have been a ton of races going on every night the past week and a half or so.Comment

Re: Forza 3 Discussion...
You suck! I am so jealous. After I started seeing everyone get their wal-mart pre-orders I almost ordered online...but then figured with my luck it wouldn't get here until the day after release so I'll just pick it up in person....seven more days :-( After the entire Madden SI thing I am a bit leery of mail orderComment

Re: Forza 3 Discussion...
With every fantastic thing I read about Forza 3 comes some other tid bit that sticks in my crawl.
Maybe someone with the game can confirm, but I am reading that the only custom games you can do are private. Your only public choice is to join matchmaking and the T10 play-list they created.
You cannot just setup a custom public room - with sim/no assist setting and 10 laps - and allow people who are interested in that type race to search/join. You all have to hope T10 decides the type of race you like is worthy of its own matchmaking hopper on the T10 server.Last edited by lnin0; 10-20-2009, 06:42 PM.Comment

Re: Forza 3 Discussion...
I only tried for about 20 minutes last night. Tonight I found races in all but one race type. Got my fanny blistered in all that I entered (2 ciruits, one road)... I suck with the gamepad. The races were all seamless in execution though! I'll be hooking my wheel back up Thursday night, when I'll have some real time to play it.Duke Football? Re: Forza 3 Discussion...
Walmart.com now knows the game isn't *supposed* to be out yet. I read where Walmart is now telling prospective buyers that a "Vendor Hold" has been put on the game and they can't sell any more until the 27th. I guess Microsoft and/or Turn 10 had a few words of prayer with them after learning of all the copies they mailed out last weekDuke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment
