Any of those who are in their 2nd MP season and had the clone glitch: did the clone disappear in the 2nd season? I heard it mentioned but haven't gotten confirmation... that would be GREAT instead of feeling like I should start over before I get past the first season.

2nd season

Clone was dormant the first season and didn't affect me

2nd season it's halving all my stats, and all my attributes went down by 1 or 2 in the off-season, probably because of him.

Man, I think I'm just going to start over. I can't spend my whole first season in fear of what the clone will do in Season 2. That's ludicrous. I'll upload a better version of Lance and just restart. Is there any mode in this game that actually works? So glad I didn't pay for this, man.

In my 2nd season and no clone. The offseason was a little disappointing, I envisioned a fun contract negotiating type deal, but nope.

Yeah the offseason sucked. Im a SF and I had the option to sign with the Heat, Wizards, Spurs or stay with the Celtics. I chose to stay with the Celtics and to my surprise i find out after i signed with them that they have went and signed/traded for PG Baron Davis, SG Richard Hamilton, SG Tracy McGrady and SF Rudy Gay. They did let Ray Allen and Paul Pierce go but i didn't like the new makeup of the team.

I had created a backup of my season after the final game of the season so i loaded the backup (then made a backup of it) and continued doing this until i ended up with a team that could actually use me. It was the Celtics but this time Ray Allen was gone and Pierce stayed but he will play SG while i play SF.

The awful thing is that you don't get to see if you are a good fit for the teams until you have already signed with them. You should be able to at least see the teams starting rotation and see if you will be a good fit. So you are just signing blindly and you don't get to pick the length of the contract or anything. I may have just wanted to sign a 1 year deal with the Celtics because all their players are old and i wouldn't wont to be on a rebuilding team but nope i don't have the option.

I bypassed my Clone by going to the dashboard and experienced no Overall drop during the offseason.

I signed with the 76ers my second year and took a hit on every single stat down by 1. Which dropped my overall by one. But I got that all back up after about 3 games so no worries for that. Besides I went from a 44 to 88 in that season so really it didn't mean much. I never had a clone and I'm a perfect fit for my team. The only true problem I have is I play 8 minute quarters. But coach plays me every minute. All 32 I play. It's kind of irritating because no matter what in the final 3 to 2 minutes of the game I have the gatorade cup because coach will never take me out the game ever.

The stat drop has nothing to do with your clone. It's happening to everyone regardless to whether they have a clone or not. Secondly as someone said the best thing to do for picking the right team is to have a backup save (which really is a good idea in general), sign with whatever team, scout the league, load the backup save, replace your original save with a second backup, sign with the team that you think you liked after scouting the league, and then just make sure the team that you then go to ends up looking like a good mix.

Also when you get to the second season there's a chance that your face will change and you'll have to edit your player all over again.

As for me I'm an SF and went from the Mavs to the Nets (without having the foresight to make a backup at the time). We still managed to win the title when I was with the Mavs, but I really thought there was no such thing as CPU defense in this game... until I got on the Nets. The starting lineup is, Harris, T. Williams, Me, Boozer, and Lopez... and now I see that the Mavs were just a bad defensive team.

Well I ruined my MyPlayer... I went to try to play a pick up game... It kicked me out so i went to play my next game it was set to 5 minutes so I quit... It Saved after I quit.. Setting it to 5 min quarters.... I just did it all over again. smh... combine an all.

No clone glitch for me. My first year I was mostly in the D-League. Portland traded Oden to Cleveland for Varejao and West. West got injured for a few weeks so Portland called me up a little after the All-Star Weekend. Lakers beat us 4-1 in the first round of the playoffs. In the off season I decided to sign with Orlando thinking I would be coming off the bench as VC's replacement since I'm a 6'3 68 rated SG, but to my surprise I am a starter with Vince coming off the bench as the 6-man. For some reason My Player is requesting a trade saying my role sucks although I'm a starter 20 games in...

My clone is alive and well killing my stats as usual. Spent year 1 with the Clippers and kept the title in L.A. Signed with the Heat and this roster is freakin loaded Wade, Me, Joe Johnson, Beasley,Chris Kaman, and Ilgauskas. Crazy stuff. I didn't avoid the 5 min glitch so the team's player stats suck, but my player is holding it down...can't complain...passing to DWade beats passing the Al Thornton any day.

This is unfortunate, but let this be a lesson to everyone. Always have a backup save. Luckily I got the idea to do this before I ran into any real issues, but I've actually got two backups. The first two I operate as normal and the third is an emergency backup.
