EA has screwed up so much already with Madden in recent years. There is no reason to think that they can get a patch to work correctly either if their "football" games cannot work properly.

People get so excited about the patch to help fix what should be "core" issues or a few issues, not a huge list of them. However, with EA, the patch probably won't even be done correctly and more bugs, glitches, etc. will be presented to the game that wasn't there before just like the 1st patch did. If the patch is not an answer to make the game play and be better, then the game will still be unacceptable.

Whether or not if someone has Madden 10, it poses problems for each of those individuals. Those who don't have it have made a good choice not to waste their money on the game, but still have no good alternative (if they want to play football games) for football games anymore because of the exclusive licensing. Those of us that do have it have to suffer through the terrible glitches, bugs and unacceptable aspects to this game, if you want to call it a game. I am sure many who bought this game, or own it have regrets of getting it because of so many flaws, but it is the only option if we wish to play a new NFL game. Guess it is back to the past when NFL games were better.
