One thing you can do to give relife in the short term is to rework the contracts of players who have a year left. In my second season with the skins I only had 650k in cap room. Portis had 1 year left on his deal (10.mill for that season), I resigned him to a 2 year deal(16.5 mill over 2), and I now have 2.63 million in cap space. That helps sometimes.
