The problem is Pro Tack has a tendency to suck defensive players in, at times they get placed in very unrealistic angles. Because of the control the CPU has, often it leaves very few players in front of the running back should he break the gang tackle.

This was brought up very early in the development of the game and Pro Tack, because these are "career highlight" type plays. It was assured to be a very, very, very random occurrence. However it seems one out of five game has it happen, regardless of your HB.
