I agree with most of your post, although I disagree with your thread. The gameplay is why I prefer Live 10 and it is conspicuous in its absence from your post. No one will argue that 2K has better presentation, commentary, features/modes, etc. Graphics, well that is a case of preference. I prefer Live's likenesses as well.

All the overlays about future games, standings, league leaders etc., and all the different pre-game rituals really add to the experience. Live has the pre-game rituals too, but they don't have as much as 2k and they aren't executed as well as 2k's pre-game rituals are imo.

Honestly, I think 2K10 is the best basketball game ever, and Live is not even close. Does anyone feel the same? Does anyone feel differently? State why you disagree and feel that Live is better than 2K10 also...

Because NBA Live 10 wipes the floor with NBA 2K10 in the gameplay department....and that is where it matters most!

2K10 has better commentary/presentational elements and modes available, but NBA Live 10....each game is different. In 2K10 all you have to do is throw a laser into the lane and dunk or lay-up all nite! lol

I have both games but will reserve full judgement until after the patches come out. But right now...NBA LIVE is back!

And is it me or am I the only one who can't stand the "you can't do (insert glitch/abuse move)in Live/2K like you can in Live/2K" comments.

No you are not the only one. Maybe OS could add to their new terms that if you have less than 200 posts you need to submit your thread to a mod for approval. Don't mean to disrespect the OP but there are many Live vs. 2k threads, was another really needed?

I don't play online but may have glitches? 2K has more glitches than Jay-Z has problems. That doesn't make for much of a game. It might have a nice post game but if the game turns to unplayable mush soon as you get close to the basket/in the paint that don't mean much.

Hardly. I wouldn't say Live's is bad,yes I'd say 2K's is better at the moment (apprently they haven't unlocked the season stories yet in Live) but even then what makes it up in the sound department for Live is when you turn the commentary OFF. Vince getting booed in TO,the wolf howl in Minny,the playoff and final crowds. Atmosphere. 2K can't touch that stuff. I remember one of the pre-release vids of 2K game 7 of the NBA finals came down to a last second shot and the crowd didn't even care,no mention by the announcers either. It was just flat. You'd think it was a regular season game between the Grizz and Wolves.

Once again that doesn't matter when your game is unenjoyable due to framerate problems on just about all the cameras and when they don't turn off the spotlights following a FT/all the other glitches.

None of them make it unplayable to you but when I'm stuck on Pro,5 minute quaters with no slider effects (because they don't call enough fouls in 2K either/the sky high shooting % on default),the AI probably still getting charged 2 TO's for every one (I never checked on that in that mode) and the poor game management by the AI with your AI teammates STILL being inept (though not as bad as the draft combine was)...well that's unplayable to me. Then of course your player dropping 20 after being sucessful in a training game. (or was that just for franchise?)

Because Live doesn't have all that too? I'm pretty sure it does. I'm pretty sure it just told me when I was playing earlier how Gilbert Arenas leads his team and showed his stats just before the tip-off.

As I said about the sound the presentation is there,it's all the in arena little things. Want more? The train whistle for Aldridge in Portland,the hawk in ATL,the magical sound on FTs for the Wizards...that's presentation too,most of wich 2K doesn't have.

Not that any of that matters anyway because 2K's AI can't defend a pick & roll doubling the ball handler leaving the screener open every single time and the help D doesn't exsist.
