    Weather weather weather...

Why are almost all franchise games nice weather? I have played every game for 2 seasons with the Cheifs and haven't had one rain, snow, or even an overcast game.

That sucks, not a problem for me. And I play with Oakland. I got some rain, I've had snow before. and I've had sunny. Sunny majority, but I've had different weather games.

When you reach Wk 13 and beyond. You will see a lot of snow and rains in areas like SF, CLE, NE, GB etc....

I have played almost 3 ful season with the Giants and have seen a Ton of bad weather games. In fact I just played in Miami and I swear it was raining so hard, maybe it was just me, but I have never seen it rain like that before. Anyone know if there are downpours, light rain??

September-December is historically the mildest time in the central plains. Missouri, in particular, enjoys temperatures in the 70's and 80's through much of October, with temps in the 50's and 60's until Thanksgiving. December can be cold, but hard precip doesn't really roll around until January-March. March, in particular, is brutal, but well after the NFL season, of course.

I was a season ticket holder at Arrowhead for 21 years before moving for career reasons, but we had a rain game maybe once or twice a season. Maybe.

Yes, the weather's been wet this year (two rain games at Arrowhead in '09), but sunny days are far more the standard than the exception.

Check out the National Weather Service archives if you don't believe me. Autumn in KC is absolutely beautiful.

Yea the wheather factor of the game needs to be worked on big time. By week 10 and above most of the country should be having cold conditions and some snow and rain and so on. But some places would have good weather like flordia and new oleans and NC and so on. But the main factor should be that the wheather should adjust to time of year and and depending in what part of the country the teams are at and so on.

I think this is a problem due to the weather channel feature in the game.

Yup. That's pretty much what I'm trying to say. Weather in KC is consistent with what it should be. We just don't get a lot of bad weather games at Arrowhead, in all reality. So the game reflects that.

i've played through two franchises thus far and haven't had a problem, and as has been mentioned, each year i've played i start getting rainy and snowy games in the back half of the season. seems pretty realistic to me.

Do you guys have this set to weather channel or random on the team select screen? Just curious b/c I always leave it on weather channel and hardly ever see anything other than sunny games....

the problem is that the weather is already pre determined for the entire season. If you start a franchise with Green Bay every game but one is sunny, the one being partly cloudy. Every one who starts a Green Bay franchise will experience the same exact weather as everyone else. Even if you restart your franchise it will be the same as it was when you first started it. All they need to do is have weather randomized and not pre set. I would say the weather in Madden 10 is crap. Some cities will get close to what it actually should and some cities will be way off! In my Atlanta franchise every game up til December is in the 80's, crap it's 90 up til October and im sitting at my place right now in the burbs of Atlanta and it's 56 out. Oh and i know they play in a dome but it still shows the outside weather.

Plus, it would be nice if they gave you the option to have the dome opened or closed in Phoenix, Indy, Dallas and Houston. In my Cardinals franchise, the roof is always closed. In play now, you can use these stadiums opened or closed.....
