Has anyone played any NBA Today games tonight? Do they mention it being opening night or anything like that?

Yes they mention it is opening night numerous times in the "broadcast", and refer back to last seasons records and stats. It is as in depth as any other night on NBA Today.

I played with the Blazers against the Rockets....and they mentioned how we (the Blazers) remembered this team very well because they put us out the playoffs in the first round. Very nice touch.

The PA also makes a special comment on the Lakers vs Clips. When you first start the game up he says welcome your NBA champion Lakers.

Sorry can anyone explain this mode a bit more as I dont know which game Im getting yet .
Live sounds cool and I like the dynamic season mode but im worried about the scripted play issue do to dna .
Thanks oh can it be played in a season mode control all teams?

I played as the Cavs against the Celtics, first time using NBA Today, and really the first game I've played properly. It was fantastic, loved the commentary, and had a great game. Down by 3, with 1.3 seconds left i passed it into Lebron at the top of the arc for the 3 to tie it up, Harlan went nuts ha. Went on to win in overtime.

So yeah, excellent mode, can't wait for the Playoffs.

Though it did point out how much we need the ability for the Home team to choose Home or Away jerseys (forcing the Away team to the opposite)

NBA Today is a mode where you can play a bunch of current day games, or play a quick game in that game mode, and have the commentary pretend that thats the game that's happening that day. It has commentary that keeps you up to date as the season rolls along, they plug upcoming games, mention holidays, it's awesome.

Live has Dynamic DNA, and 2K has Living Rosters. Both are somewhat similar, but you have to pay for Dynamic DNA.
