Anyone here have any offline franchise they play?

I know the big thing with NCAA 10 is online dynasties but do you guys play offline? I have a coaching career, I started with Notre Dame. I am having a lot of fun because its a challenge. First game, Jimmy Clausen gets hurt out for 4 weeks, back up comes in the next game throws 5 picks. To make things worse my running back Armando Allen, BANG out for the season, back up comes in. I lose to Michigan. I'm 1-1. I'm thinking about starting my 3rd String Quarterback in week 3. My 2nd string (Crist) did horrible.

So how's your franchise going (offline)

I'm an offline Michigan State dynasty player exclusively. That way I can go at my own pace. I was chugging along nicely early in Year 4, when my dynasty file got corrupted and wouldn't load. I save backups after each season but because the 3rd patch had just came out and with so much information learned since I had started my dynasty, I just restarted it.

Currently, I'm about halfway thru year 2 and happily struggling to stay in the top 25. I ended up going the Varsity route with some sliders based on Playmakers Varsity sliders modified for my style and ability and I've really had some very good games. In my original dynasty I started out on All-American then jumped up to Heisman but nothing felt quite right; either too easy or too unrealistic. That was when I first started tinkering with the Varsity sliders and was liking what I was seeing. So with the restart of the dynasty, I got a fresh start with sliders I like.

most of my NCAA 10 time has been in my offline dynasty with MTSU. I am in an Online Dynasty as well, but I'm a lot further into the mode on the offline one.

offline i control 12 teams and i also have the be a pro mode or whatever its called and im in my 2nd year on that. i dont play online.

I don't have the time nor the desire to play online, so I only play offline dynasty. For some reason I can't get into this years game. I love college football, heck I love football period. This has been the first year (playing since 98) that I have not been able to get into the game. I think maybe the lack of any new additions to the dynasty mode since the switch to next gen in 07 has something to do with it. I hope to pick the game back up and maybe I will try some new slider. I have used the same ones for years now. Offline is the way to play.

I don't play online, I start every year with the U of Akron. I cant wait til they get the new stadium in the game.

But I was with them for about 6 years, I play on Heisman and play the hardest schedule I can make every year, and I think I won 5 national titles. Luckily I got into the big ten and its fun with that schedule plus the three OOC games against the likes of Texas, Oklahoma and Florida.

After that period, I left and went to 1* UNLV and my god was it so hard to recruit with such a crappy school. The only thing above a C+ was campus lifestyle. But my first year there I think I only lost two games which got me frustrated because I wanted it to be harder. So I adjusted the sliders for the computer to be 60 at everything and that made a world of difference. Im in my second year and Im still undefeated but my two hardest games are still coming up. I beat undefeated Utah in a #3 (me) vs #4(Utah) game that went down to the final seconds where I wont 57-54 I think and got the #1 game score. I got #7 Texas and #1 Akron (which is loaded from all of my #1 recruiting classes and they haven't lost a game since I left) up next so I don't think my luck will last vs those two teams.

I just finished up my first year at Michigan. I road Tate Forcier to a Big 10 Championship and a BCS Championship win over Oklahoma. My hopes almost ended twice against Penn State and Ohio State. I was down huge to Penn State in the first half more than 3 scores. I battled all the way back to win the game with 4 or 5 touchdowns by Brandon Minor all in the second half. I went into the Ohio State game and it was a big battle through 4 quarters. I was looking at 4th and long and Forcier hooked up with one my WR's on a pass that just got past the trailing defender. Then Odoms got 1 on 1 in the back of the end zone so I threw it up to him and he went over Chekwa to give me the win with almost no time left.

The most astounding thing of all was the crazy recruiting class I got. I hadn't checked my overall recruiting just kept working the guys on my list. I went into the overall rankings after all the recruiting was done and I had 15 5 star recruits 6 4 stars and I think 2 or 3 3 star kids. I had only got 3 of those 15 in the off season recruiting. I have never gotten more than 5-8 5 stars in a year. It should be a lot of fun to see how all these prospects workout.

Another shocker this season was the transfer from Ohio State QB Joe Bauserman came to Michigan.

I will copy over all my posts from craziest thing you've seen in a fb game, as all my stories are part of my dynasty with tech, and have been keeping track since changing to playmaker's sliders.

I put them in last night, 1st year of my dynasty with Virginia Tech, I was sitting at 4-0 on the year, had been blowing everyone out of the water, even alabama 66-42 at first of the year and miami 42-17, so I figured it was time for a change. So I put the sliders on, but I felt I had to tweak my qb accuracy down a bit, and cpu's up a hair, and push my pass blocking up a hair. I was beating duke 28-0 in 4th quarter, and after a huge 4th down stop on me, they found momentum and capitalized on my mistake and scored a td, 28-7. Then, they hold me 3 and out on next series stuffing my run, get the ball back, score 28-14. So at this point, I am startin to sweat, 4 minutes left in the game, they got the big MO, its on like donkey kong. So they kick the ball off to me, hold me 3 and out AGAIN, so i am forced to punt and I push em back deep and down the ball on the 4 yard line, mind you the last 2 drives were 81 and 92 yards, so at this point I am sweatin gun powder. So they drop back, nekos brown sheds the blocker and smashed the qb in the endzone for a safety, 30-14 with a hair under 3 minutes left. Kick the ball off to me, and again, they stuff my run game. But on 3rd down and 13, I drop back and hit a smash route to Darnell Roberts (they blitzed the house expecting run) and I take it for 7, to go up 37-14 with about a minute or so left in the game, and from there my defense stood strong. That was my first of 2 games. So I was like okay, that game played really realistically, but lets give it another shot, so I start my next game against Boston College, they are ranked #22, i am #5, and Kirk Herbstreit had picked them to walk the dog on me cause of my past defensive vulnerability. This game was a BARN BURNER! It was heavy rain, severe overcast, so it had a cold eerie feel to it, I loved the atmosphere. I was winning 24-7 in 2nd quarter, having no problems at all moving the ball on the ground, but could not complete a pass (ended up 19-37 on the day) the ball kept sliding out of their hands, which was so realistic. Well end of 2nd quarter, they get a touchdown after a huge pass play for 63 yards, then they shut me down, get the ball back, drive down and kick a 51 yard field goal with 2 seconds left that boucned off the cross-bar and through the uprights, to make it 24-17 at half. 2nd half was defense, defense, defense, something I am never used to, as all my games have been like college basketball games in terms of scoring. So they hold me throughout the 3rd quarter, and grab a field goal, game is 24-20 going in the 4th, of course I put my 4 fingers up cause at this point, I am like man these sliders are the real deal, this is real football here. So I finally mount a drive and hit Greg Boone on a 30 some odd yard touchdown pass to go up 31-20 with like 6 minutes in the 4th left ( I play 8 minute quarters). I am feeling confident at this point, but just as I do, here comes their offense...they drive all the way down the field on a 3 minute drive, but I hold them to a field goal inside the goal line, 31-23. I am like ok, get the ball back, run the clock down, game over right? WRONG! I get the ball, run it on first down, break it 23 yards, but I see there is a flag on the play, offensive holding, bring it back, 1st and 23...they ended up shutting my running game down, i go 3 and out, punt ball to them. On the next drive, they have a methodical drive, burn me up for 10 plays, 81 yards, and on the touchdown play, their running back runs on 4th down, breaks 2 tackles to the left, and looks like the computer pulled back on the highlight stick, and my linebacker went flying infront of him, and he did like this side dive to land across the goalline for the td...they come out in goaline formation on 2pt conversion, and convert, 31-31 with 1 minute 25 seconds left. So I am like ok, 3 time outs, over a minute to play, lets drive and get a field goal. immediately i come out in play action bootleg to the left sending all my receivers to wide side of the field, but they blitz the house and I have absolutely no body open and about 6 defenders in tyrod's face...so I swing out to the right with these guys on my heels, juke one defender and take it for about a 34 yard gain down to the 40 yard line, sitting pretty with about a minute left. Lets get one more pass play, run the ball, line it up, kick it, win the game. So on the next play, I did another play action to the left, different play, but this time, defender beats ed wang across his post foot and sticks his helmet in tyrod's chin as he is throwing the ball, it lofts in the air, and their linebacker picks it off, OH ****!!!!!!!!!!!! but wait, there is a flag on the play...come to find out, it was holding on dechristopher...great, so its declined, their ball with right at a minute left to play on my 40ish yard line. First play, they drop back, I put on man coverage and press the receivers, rashad carmichael jumps the pass for an interception! ALRIGHT, another chance to win! My first play, I drop back to throw, hit in the back, ball goes forward, d-end picks it off, OH MY GOSH NOT AGAIN and in field goal range this time. This is definately game over. First play they run, they drop back, throw across middle, and Hill (can't remember his first name) jumps the slant route and INTERCEPTION AGAIN, thats right 4 int's within about 20 seconds. So i get the ball, and on first play i get slammed for a sack with about 20 seconds left, so i let clock wind down going in to OT. They win toss, elect offense. So on first play, they drop back, I run cover 2, they have 2 wr's split left, he goes for the streak on inside receiver, my safety jumps it INTERCEPTION!!!!!!! ALRIGHT now lets run the ball, kick it game over. So i run it 3 times, pick up a first down, line up in the middle and kick the game winning field goal 34-31, VT. What a game says the announcers and I was really digging this game with playmaker's sliders.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Ok, I have to share my game from Saturday with VT against Georgia Tech. I was #3 in this game, they were unranked sitting at a lousy 3-3. But before the game even started, I adjusted my gameplan because I knew that they run the option offense, and I am going to have to play lights out run defense if I expect to win this game. Ok, so I start the game by electing offense as I want to come out and grab the momentum first so we have some emotion and excitement on the field. I sure did not disappoint as we drove right down the field and scored on a short run to darren evans, 7-0. So georgia tech comes out with thier option offense, and they are nickel and diming me down the field, I am worried at this point because I can't get my defense off the field. we get inside the goal line and I blitz the house 3 plays in a row and push them back to around the 15 tackling them a yard behind the line of scrimmage and a sack as well with an incompletion on 3rd down. They kick field goal, score is 7-3. Ensuing possession, I get the ball. First play, I drop back to throw, I make a bad decision and I throw across my body and its picked off infront of danny coale on my own 30. So they get the ball, drive down, and again defense swells up, its 7-6. On the next possession, I get the ball and I make a gutsy decision. I am like ok, lets use their own gameplan against them, see if it will work. So I do double tight single back ace, and do a speed option. it works quite a few times on this drive, running option out of a few different packages. So i get down the field, on the goal line, i run this play again, tyrod gets smacked, but i optioned the ball right before i hit the ground, williams catches it and runs it in for the td, 14-6. next couple drives we both get 3 and outs, with punts. So I get the ball after a punt around midfield. I run an option to the left on the first play, and I get SMACKED by their linebacker, I tried to pitch, but one of their guys dove at the same time, and the ball hit his helmet and bounced on the ground and they dove on it to recover. I am sweatin now, few minutes left in quarter, they got the ball. So they break out their option some more, and bust it down the field to around the 12 yard line. One 4th and inches, they do a wr motion-option to the left, but nesbit holds on to it, hurdles kam chancellor, and dives over barquell rivers for the td, 14-13. So i get the ball, 2 minutes left in half, I drive down the field with EASE, lighting up their defense through the air. I get to the 3 yard line with 20 seconds to go, so i decide to do an option, BAD decision. I am heading towards goaline, end sheds his block and sticks tyrod. I pitch the ball to evans, but our wide receiver pushed the cornerback down into the play, and he cuts off the pitch and catches it in mid air and gets tackled on the 3 yard line with 13 seconds left. so I am like ok, lets blitz the hell out of them and get a safety. WRONG.....I do engage eight, blow through the line and completely wiff on tackling their full back in the backfield, and he completely plows over Rivers, and he is off to the races...no one even near him as he is heading to the endzone with time ticking off. I bring rashad carmichael up behind him and I get a shoe string tackle around the 32 yard line on my side of the field, THANK GOD. So they call timeout with 2 seconds left, line up for the 49 yarder. Snap is good, kick is up and it goes right off the right upright, NO GOOD! thank god I escaped first half mistakes and made it to halftime 14-13. So we start off the 2nd half, GT gets the ball and drives right down the field and I end up stuffing them, forcing them to punt. Great way to start 2nd half. Then I get the ball, I am driving down the field, and I end up throwing an interception in middle of the field. I am nervous because I keep turning the ball over in precious situations where I should have been able to put the game away. So again, we keep trading 3 and outs, and punts, and drives and the score remains 14-13 through 3rd quarter and into the 4th quarter. Finally, around middle of the quarter, I mount a drive and break off another option to evans for a touchdown inside the goaline, going up 21-13. I am feeling confident, but I know its only a one score game. So they get the ball with 3:43 seconds left in 4th...they put together an awesome drive, going right down the field on me. They get to the 20 yard line, and they do a play action option pass, and their line really showed up on this play, as they held me for about 7 seconds, as he runs around the pocket. he plants his feet, their WR coming across back of the endzone, I see him and I am like oh no, here goes 6...He throws the ball, slightly behind him, and kam Chancellor jumps in the air with him, over his shoulder, and intercepts the pass in the endzone!!! I am freakin out, hell yeah what a play! 21-13, i got ball on the 20, 2:30ish left in the game. I figured I could run the ball and run the clock out. So I run it on first play, get a 9 yard game, but here we go again, the penalty bug bit me, holding on sergio render, back me up to my 13, 1st and 17. They end up shutting me down on 3rd down, tackling me 1 yard before the marker. I put my trust on my defense, and I punt the ball to them with 1:40ish left in the game. So I know my defense is playing stout pass coverage. First down, they try a pass, knocked down. 2nd and 10. Next play, try a pass, and I sack them back for minus 3 yards, its 3rd and 13. Next play, thompson breaks up the middle and bats the ball down, 4th and 13...I know one play and the game is over. He drops back, running around dodging my defenders, throws the ball up to their wide receiver to the left, I see 3 defenders closing in on their receiver and I automatically start sayin HELL YEAH GAME OVER!!!! about that time, he jumps in the air through the crowd and snatches the ball and brings it down. I am FREAKING OUT, WHAT JUST HAPPENED!??! 30 seconds left, they have the ball at my 25 yard line with a time out left. They drop back, run an underneath drag route to their tight end, he catches it, breaks 2 tackles and is headed to the endzone...i am screaming NO NO NO, and all the sudden BAM my safety plants him at the 2. I just know that this game is gonna be tied at this point with their option offense inside the 2 yard line with about 25 seconds left. First play, the drop back, try a fade route, but my corner bats the ball down, incomplete. 2nd and 2. Next play, they drop back, try another fade/corner route, and he over throws it into the crowd, 3rd and 2. Next play, they throw a swing pass to their full back that blazed me before the 1st half ended and he catches it on the right, headed right to the endzone, i am screaming SOMEONE TACKLE HIS ***, and I just knew he was in there, cause no one was there. Well his momentum carried him to the sideline after catching the ball, he juked back and when he did, Hill broke off his block and I used the hitstick and I cold-cocked him right in the face (the one where it looks like they give him a flying forearm to the face). He goes down HARD at the 1 inch line, stopped JUST short with 10 seconds left and they are forced to call a timeout as the guy is injured. He got knocked the EFF OUT...I stood up and go WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...my fiance was reading the paper on the couch and even she goes wow, he got the hell knocked out of him, lol. So 4th down and inches from the goaline...I load the middle of the line, they put receiver in option, i pinch my linemen in the middle, he hikes the ball, goes for the playaction end around, and I juke past the right guard, qb turns around and he gets completely plowed and rolled up for the sack and it was GAME OVER!!! My defense held on 4 downs from the 2 yard line with the game on the line, I was flipping out. What ANOTHER bad *** finish to an awesome game. I cannot believe how great playmaker's sliders work making each game realistic as hell. I actually have defensive battles now, its so intense.

Again, Playmaker's sliders never seize to amaze me. Moved onto the next game of my dynasty last night with Tech, 7-0 going into thursday night game against a struggling UNC team that started ranked high and 3-0, and has dropped 4 straight, coming in 3-4. I moved up to number #2 in the latest polls (Florida #1) as Oklahoma dropped a big game the previous week. Coming in, I viewed this as a game to really piece together the team and re-group before the ACC Championship game and Bowl game. The game started out, opening possession UNC has the ball. First play, huge loss in backfield of 4 yards on a toss play, on 2nd down, they drop back, pass, ball hits receiver's hands, and Barquell Rivers knocks the african american out of the guy as the ball falls to the ground. At this point, 3rd and 14, we are due for a nice blow out and a stat building game. On the next play, qb drops back, hits tight end and gets a 29 yard gain out of it. I am thinkin ok, fluke play. Next play, they blaze me, and on the rest of the drive, they totally shred me apart, driving to a touchdown, over 80 some yards on 12 plays, 7-0. I get the ball, try to stay poised. I run on first down, stuffed. I run on 2nd down, stuffed with 1 yard gain. 3rd down and 9, I drop back, pass to an in route to danny coale, and he is slammed, only 3 yard gain, they held me to 3 and out I have to punt ball back. So they get the ball, and drive right back down the field with hardly any effort. So i changed my gameplan to Aggressive, and finally make some big tackles and bone jarring hits on receivers to force incompletions, and I hold them to a field goal, 10-0. So at this point, I am feeling the pressure, but I get the ball, and try to improve my playcalling. I finally started getting in a rythm at the end of the 1st quarter, as I move down to their redzone. First quarter ended, 10-0 and the commentators made a comment about upset alert and how they was surprised at UNC's performance thus far. So I start the 2nd quarter, with a few running plays, and then finally get a hand off to darren evans and run it in for 6, score is now 10-7. They get the ball back, and just like the 1st quarter, they blaze me down the field, getting into the redzone. They drop back, I bought 3 on a blitz with a pinch, and about 3 guys come free in the qb's face and he gets DRILLED as he dumps the ball off underneath tryin to hit their wr on a hot route, but barquell rivers jumps the pass for the INT. At this point, I am jacked up!! Chance to take the lead. So I drive down, but they force me to kick a field goal, and I don't disappoint. 10-10. They get the ball, and AGAIN blast my defense down the field, making a huge 34 yard pass play as I converge on the tight end and tackle him short on the 1 yard line. I am sweatin bullets at this point, but I call sam blitz goaline defense and I break through the middle as they do play action, spear the qb but he gets the ball off on a fade route, but I take control of stephan virgil and jump over the wr's shoulder and make a huge interception in the endzone. Get the ball at the 20 with around 3 minutes left. I drive right down the field, call an option on the 7 yard line, they blitz the house but had their linebackers focused on my tailback and forgot about tyrod, and I bust it up the seam and in for a touchdown, 17-10...alright!!!!! making a comeback now! So they get the ball with around 1:43 left in the half, but for once my defense stands strong and I hold them 3 and out and use all my timeouts but one, getting the ball back with around 40 seconds left on my own 39 yard line. First play, I hit a big pass play to my receiver to the right, but tackeled in bounds at the 50 yard line, get them back to scrimmage and hike the ball with 25 seconds left, no one open, I scramble to try to get to sideline, but I am tackled just across the marker to stay in bounds around the 40 yard line...hurry up offense, I get the ball off with 9 seconds left in the half, I hit sam wheeler to the left and he is tackled at the 36 yard line and I call a time out just as he lands with 1 second left on the clock. I line up, kick it and the ball just tips the cross bar and goes in from 53 yards out, to make it 20-10 going into half time! I am feeling good at this point, 20 un-answered points, defense stepping up strong in 2nd quarter and I get ball to start the half. So 2nd half kicks off, I get the ball, but cannot mount any type of momentum, and they force me to punt. They get the ball, and here comes the tarheels, driving down the field, but defense holding strong on the goaline holding them to a field goal. 20-13. So i get the ball, and HERE comes my hokies that I am used to! Tyrod is hitting all his targets, darren evans is hitting the holes hard and gettin separation. I get down in the redzone, and as easy as I moved the ball, I was thinking to myself "this is gonna be automatic points, they can't stop me at all". I am at the 8 yard line, i call a pass to the right, I drop back to the 13, I get hit in the backside, and the ball flies up, OH GOD, here comes their defensive end as he snags the ball and he runs it back 87 yards for the touchdown...the commentators, for some reason are like screaming in excitement, I could not believe how real it looked and sounded. So they tie the game at 20 as we approach 4th quarter. They line up, kick the ball off and I receive it at my 8 yard line with stephan virgil, as I break it to the right and stutter step back to the left and I Am off to the races, taking it back for a touchdown as I am on my feet at this point, 27-20. So i kick the ball back off and they return it to my 46 yard line, hell of a return, but last line of defense makes a shoe string tackle on sideline. So after a few plays, they get in range, kick the field goal, and its 27-23 going into 4th quarter, me motioning 4th quarter with my 4 fingers in the air. I get the ball, drive down, and get down and score a td, making it 34-23. Feeling I have the momentum, my defense starts playing sloppy as they drive down, score a td on a slant across the middle as the guy dives and rolls across the goaline, 34-30. On the ensuing possession, with 3 minutes left, I am determined to atleast get a field goal, but my dreams were quickly shot down. I drop back on a playaction after they stuff my run twice on 3rd and 13, and again I am hit in the back, ball goes flying in the air, their same defensive end catches the ball after juggling it, and he runs it back in for a touchdown, 37-34...at this point i am screaming NOOO what did i do!?!?! So i quickly regain my composure, take the ball with 2:55 left and drive right down the field, and score on a 7 yard iso with backup ryan williams with 1:50ish left in the game to go up 41-37. I was thinking to myself, I left way too much time on the clock, as they have 3 time outs. They get the ball but return it to their own 49, I was so pissed off. Anyways, first play, they drop back, through a fade route down the sideline, but look who it is! Stephan Virgil, AGAIN jumping over the receiver for the INT, at this point I am screaming GAME OVER GAME OVER!!!!! WRONG! I get the ball, and instead of gettin a first down, they use 2 time outs after stuffing the run twice, and I drop back on a playaction full back fake tryin to hit darren evans but the ball sails over his head for an incompletion to stop the clock with 1:20 seconds left and one time out. I am outside of field goal range, so I drop back, and I punt the ball with max coverage called. I run down the field with my defender, and I dive at the 5 at the same time the ball is coming down and he kinda rolls to the side and catches the ball at the 4, keeping it from going in the endzone, PERFECT special teams play. So 1:15ish seconds left, 4 yard line, 96 yards to go to win. First play, they call 3 wr to left, drop back, pass, its batted down. Next play, same formation, throw the ball up, my defender drills the receiver as the ball falls helplessly to the ground. I noticed on these 2 plays, they ran 3 wr to the left, so on 3rd down, I run dime 3-2-6, and I do QB Trap and blitz my right side inside corner. Sure enough, they call the same formation, I bring my corner up beside the linebacker, send a confusing stunt with the line, and I come off the edge and deliver a crushing spear from his blindside to grab the safety, going up 43-37 with a mere 60 seconds left on the clock. They punt it to me, i return it safely, knee it a couple times and run out the clock, securing the win, 43-37...I narrowly escaped that game, it was so intense and some serious ramifications for ACC division if I would have lost. So I go back to ESPN headlines, and I was punished for my narrow escape over UNC. I go to Polls, I am still ranked #2, but when I checked the BCS polls, they dropped me just behind #3 Jayhawks! Wow! I checked their schedule though, and they still have to beat a #19 ranked team and have to beat Texas to prove they belong ahead of me. Of course the way I played last night, I have to prove myself. I am traveling to ECU next week to take on a #21 ranked ECU team that has upset Tech before. Matter of fact, I am actually picked to lose this game, so the upset alert panic button has been pressed. I am going to have to play lights out football to finish off a perfect season.

Ok I am done, but this is week by week updates since changing to playmaker's all american sliders, with 8 minute quarters, games play absolutely PERFECT to what a real football game does. I will be sure to post my next game after playing ECU.
