    Whats the point...

...Of a roster update with accurate injuries if those injuries do not carry over to a association?

I downloaded the opening day roster that has injuries updated and then started an association, when lo and behold, there are no injuries. Players that are injured are only moved out of the starting lineup.

So whats the point? Why even bother with the injuries in the update?

For those that play online. Madden is good with that in letting you choose if you want to play with the current injuries or not. Would expect other games to follow there example. But then I never play with the current injuries though.

This will make me look and make sure the lineups are right though if they are putting these players on the bench.

The biggest problem is how would this affect a players morale? If Yao is moved out of the rotation when will the AI put him in the starting 5? Will they leave him as a reserve all year thereby destroying his morale?

As for online play, I would guess that most online players (cheesers) do not want to have preexisting injuries. Last season the Rockets were one of the heavily used teams. I would guess that this year will be different.

The option to play with preexisting injuries better be in 2K11. Why it is not already in is beyond me.

Some people, like myself, like to start creating my fantasy from some point in real life.

True. And if we are following a mere fantasy, whats the point in having real teams, real players with accurate ratings, correct rosters, etc

My thing is give me the Wizards of today and allow me to shape the Wizards of tomorrow.

im not a franchise freak but i know if i was i would start as soon as i bought the game or the season opener with or without roster updates. its a fantasy mode so other players will get hurt, new players added, team rotation changes, blah blah blah

I honestly don't want to start my Association with injuries, so I'm glad it is how it is. But they should give you the option, like with Madden.
