I wish you could edit your players height in My Player
If I would've known that my 6'1" PG was going to be played at SG against other star SG's for the majority of the time and even at SF I would not have made him 6'1". In my first game I was matched up against Kevin Durant and I had to guard him in the post, which makes no sense if I'm only 6"1". I think 2K should let us adjust our height and least once every career. I could understand only making it a 2 inch difference if they wanted to make sure people online aren't cheesing. But something should be done.Last edited by TheFuture94; 10-31-2009, 02:53 PM.Philadelphia Eagles

lol, exactly. They should either let me change my height at least once or make the coaches smarter.Philadelphia Eagles

that mode would be a joke if they allowed you to change your height after you started
I mean the point of the mode is to create a guy and try to make it to the nba
i wonder if players in the nba today which they could change something about themselves to make life easier for them
i had a 6"1 point guard and very few times i was put a sg but not for long periods and it was back to point guard
that is life in the nba today for young players
DJ Augustine from the bobcats is like 5"10....I wonder if he woke up today and said i want to change my height for tonights gameComment

i agree that you shouldnt be able to change your height. i just wish the coaches were better with their substitution patterns.that mode would be a joke if they allowed you to change your height after you started

im a 6' 0" pg for the magic and start at the point but then they sub in jameer after about 1 minute and i go to the sg spot where i will spend most of the time. why did they sign me with jameer, anthony johnson, jason williams and luke ridnour? then van gundy puts in a 3 gaurd lineup with 2 min left in a tight game and im supposed to be the sf and gaurd paul pierce, yeah right. so not only do we end up losing but i get negative grades for not being able to guard a sf.Comment

Is that really an unusual substitution pattern for Stan Van though? j/k glad my guy hasn't made it the league yet. I hate to watch virtual me getting abused.i agree that you shouldnt be able to change your height. i just wish the coaches were better with their substitution patterns.

Re: I wish you could edit your players height in My Player
Being able to change your height is a silly suggestion. If your problem is with the way that the coaches use you on the court then you should be asking for better coaching logic. The main reason why you're probably seeing this is because it's early in your career. If you put up good numbers then you'll see the GM and coach start to mold the team around you. As you progress you'll be played out of position here and there, but it will be better down the road.Comment

Re: I wish you could edit your players height in My Player
What about guys like barkley who really wasn't much over 6'4" and naturally played the 4. He probably got stuck guarding guys a little taller than him bout every game. If he could have just woke up one day and been like "I think I want to be 6'10" today" don't you think he would have?Comment

Re: I wish you could edit your players height in My Player
Yeah... but he WAS a PF. And No Van Gundy would never sub in 3 small guards against the celtic in a tight game. I am a PG 6'1" although I went in 6'2" for some reason my height changed... And I play PG, RARELY. I play more SG and SF then anything else. It causes such a missmatch.Comment

Height? You are what you are.._ The ability to add a few pounds in the off-season would be cool.
Coaching is horrid. The irony is that it only affects the team I'm on. Any team I'm playing against doesn't make 1/2 as many bad decisions.
Maybe next year.Comment

Imagine being a 5'10 PG having to guard a 6'10 Donte Green. Yeah, they had me playing the 3.Comment

Re: I wish you could edit your players height in My Player
Well I play My player mode with a 5'8 PG and have played the 1/2 and 3 spots. I think it's rather cool, I approach the development of my player in a different way> I give priority in giving him strength and physical stats.
It's strange, but now I'm sort of the utility man on the team. I can score, pass and shoot well. I can guard the opposition's 6'1" PG, but also give 6'6" to 6'8" guys at the 2/3 spot a very hard time when I'm guarding them because of my combined strength and agility.
Of course I get dunked on and shots blocked many times if I get deep in the paint, but it's still fun!Comment

Re: I wish you could edit your players height in My Player
I can't see why anybody finds this absurd. I don't agree with changing your player's height either, but there is no reason why a small PG should be guarding Kevin Durant. It's not realistic, and it doesn't happen in the NBA. I understand he's not a star yet, but if that's the case, then he might as well just stay on the bench and not play at all. Having him guard Durant is only going to cause problems for the team.
I had a similar issue. My unathletic, pure shooting SG had to guard Durant. He was then promptly abused. I'd much rather have stayed on the bench.Comment
