My Madden IQ is usually between 500-600 and I made my own sliders to accommodate my play-style. I started out on All-Pro and adjusted things as necessary on the "Player Skill" menu (I never mess with the CPU skill menu). Right now I think my numbers are 13,12,13,14 from top to bottom. This is with either 12 minute quarters and 15 second runoff or 15 minute quarters with 20 second runoff, threshold set at 40, injuries and fatigue set at 40, and all penalties maxed except holding (50), face-mask(50) and clipping(60).

Having by far the best Madden experience I've ever had, numbers are almost always right where they should be and I can win just as easily as I can lose, all depends on my play-calling and decision making. I'd say try that and if one aspect is too hard or too easy just move the corresponding slider either left (to make it easier) or right (to make it harder), don't mess with the subcategories or CPU skills.

So maybe try that for a few games, let me know how it goes!
