Well, in answer to your question, I play Association almost exclusively. If players don't progress (and this is only one example of the problems here), Association mode turns into season mode because there's no point in scouting prospects or moving on in years. I don't feel like anything I said was overly dramatic; there was a problem here for me.

Whether or not it was a problem for you is immaterial.

What you said above sounds a lot more measured than "unplayable mess/unadulterated garbage". The tone doesn't seem to fit the issue.

Maybe not for you, but I bought this game to play association mode and am unable to play it. That's the definition of unplayable, no?

Once again, whether or not it's an issue for you is irrelevant to my experience with the game.

My Player Duplicate/Clone Problem Continues:

Started over in My Player from the draft combine. Uploaded my player and was drafted by the Pistons. It said I didn't make the team, so I chose to try-out for the 76ers. It then said I was picked up by the Pistons, but now I am having the duplicate problem again. I am on the Sixers and the Pistons. Is anyone else continuing to have this problem? Is there something I am missing, or is it time to just give up on this game?

This question has nothing to do with the new patch, but wanted to ask. Can you play as a D-League team in exhibition or quick games? or can you only play D-League games during the association mode?

yes, start from scratch. to clear cache: system settings, memory...select Y (details), it will clear cache option...

ok back to impressions... i'm reeeeally enjoying this game now. i'm playing on superstar and getting very good games. this once i erased my LIVE10 habits, and learned to play this game all over again i'm having a blast!...

You can only use D-League teams in Association or My Player. I thought I'd be bummed about this, but seeing as how all D-League teams are made up of generic players and played in the same generic arena (though with different courts) I'm not too bummed.

The NBA LIVE PS3 patch took about two weeks to come out after the 360 one was available...so we may have that long to wait for this game's patch also.

It's been a week already...?...so it could be another week?

As many fellas have said above, it's nothing to do with 2K.

I haven't played mine since the patch announcement, but since i'm mainlining MW2 the wait doesn't seem as bad.

also waiting for the patch for the PC version.
not blaming 2k, but come on.

sony dropped the price of the PS3 by 100 dollars, they have to make up the money lost somewhere. PS3 gamers may have to wait a month....
