Why so much hate on Live for this year?

Get out of here 2K>>>LIVE ever since Dreamcast son, so stop trying to tell yourself Live is good every f**king year!, ya Live marks on the same routine and EA always ends up giving you s**t BELOW the standards of 2K.

Call me when EA actually surpasses 2K standards, that's when I will spend my money on a EA NBA game, that's when you can say it is "hella good", while Live 10 is a whole reboot for Live, that s**t is still trash compared to 2k10.

NPD means alot fool, it shows the interest in the game and Live 10 didn't even get interest from neither consoles, people got sick and tired of giving Live 2nd,3rd,4th chances, the numbers proved many switched to 2K already.

Oh and I never complained about 2K, stop assuming every 2k gamer is doing that, I always said what got you heated there, 2K on its worst day is still better then Live on its best day, after them NPDs sales EA need to call that s**t DEAD, its over.

Because there are so many bugs in Live 10

many of them still exist after the first patch and even some new bugs have appeared

whereas 2k10 have got most of its glitches solved via the patch.

This is just one of many differences between Live 10 and 2k10.

I don't think there's much hate. That's just some guys opinion.

Most people want to see two games...and see them both being innovative and competing.

I do think LIVE missed a hell of a good opportunity to step up this season though. NBA 2K had tonnes...literally tonnes...of bugs out of the box. LIVE had a 6 week window where a lot of people weren't even playing 2K whilst they waited for the patch.

Instead of stepping up and taking their chance...LIVE released a patch full of bugs, no O/T games, goaltending missing, DNA going to haywire...etc etc.

Opportunity gone.

2K's patch is out now...and it's set the standard for patches IMO. Genuinely massive improvements...even new defensive animations.

I don't want to sound too blunt...but the LIVE team really missed a golden chance to capitalise this season.

Honestly there is hatred for this game, people are so 2k hung, they believe it's the saint of basketball. And to say their patch was better is definitely a misleading misconception.

Amazing they fixed so much and jacked up so much, like no defense. I mean who wants to play 100% offensive basketball. And complete lack of ball awareness on the cpu side and assist.

Live 10's patch messed up a lot of things and the OT glitch is a bogus complaint, I just played two games with full OT! And just to prove it, I recorded the second game, which just so happens to be a online match.

Live's graphic detail is better, stadium realism is better, etc. And the online is top notch even the options are all there for different type of game modes and lobbies. But people are so bias against it, there is hardly any good matches, due to the lack of players.

With retail outlets persuading customers that 2k10 is the better game, I'm really not surprised.

Live series has had some poor outing on Next Gen / Current Gen consoles and deserves all the wrath it gets for those titles, but Live 09 and Live 10 are both solid and far from bad games.

All these **** complaints on their patch is amazing! I'm having amazing and realistic games. I have my quirks of some odd things due to cpu awareness on rebounds and every once in a while a missed lay up that pisses me off. But to say that the patch made this game bad, or unenjoyable is just laughable.

Live 10 is great out the box and even better and worse after the patch, but most patch issues seem to be option based and online fatigue based, in which you'll see in my videos the cpu got tired online. I agree the subbing is kind of hit and miss online, but is that really a game killer or just another petty complaint.

Live has a lot of game modes, if you really look to see what's there instead trying to compare every damn feature with 2k10. Understand that it's a completely different game and what is available and what they offer is pretty solid.

I hear complaints about Dynasty being bad, well yeah when you keep trying to compare it to 2k10 they went different directions.

Is that a bad thing, no it's not, because it's the reason I got both titles, because I wanted a different fix. One thing people need to stop doing is comparing them feature for feature and glitch for glitch.

Enjoy them both for what they are worth. 99% of the complaints about Live 10 are from 2k guys, because they can't post one comment without comparing it in even the slightest way. It's getting old and annoying.

Post like the MP posted of some guy bragging and ranting on sales is just childish and honestly just outright stupid. NPD comparing like they cut him a check too. lol

Both games are good and bad. But not unplayable nor unenjoyable. But I will say this Dynamic season now that it's more complete and none issued right now. I am enjoying a lot on top of my regular Dynasty.

BTW all those Videos will be post tomorrow 5 total including the overtime quarter.

But in the back of all the people who hate this game, it's because they are truly 2k homers and are use to it. And in the slighest regards are still just hating EA all together. Most issues are about the company, not the game. That's why get bashed 10x more.

No one is "hating" Live as far as I know.

I'm willing to wager that the author of that post is no older then 14 years old.

Anyway, Live does some things very very well.

They've also released a patch that has jacked things up.

they say they are fixing it. We'll see

The game is quite good even with the jacked up patch..and if they come through on their promise to fix the bugs, it will enhance the game greatly.

Anyway, I don't see the hate for this game. You get a lot of guys who just say junk to get a rile out of people. It used to be that way for some Live fans in years past, now it's some 2K guys. So that sort of "hate" is nothing new, and IMO shouldn't bother you much.

On OS there is lots of love for this game. Everyone acknoledges the strides it has made.

In all honesty i have both Nba live and 2k10 and i hardly ever play 2k10. It feels like im still playing 2k9, it seems as if the only thing they ever change is animations and maybe enhance the graphics a little. imo i think that nba live 10 by far had one of the biggest improvement from one year to another this year in basketball. Ive always been an 2k fan since the days of dreamcast but im getting tired of playing a game that feels the same after playing the game for a while i get tired of it quick cuz i really dont see any drastic changes. I really like the approach that live is taken and once they iron out the glithches i really believe it can become an solid game. Live is on the right track and im looking forward to see whats in the works next year!!

I just broke down yesterday and bought 2k. Once Live gets the glitches out of Dynamic season, goaltending issue and OT bug it will get the most playing time by me. I just dont feel I have control of my guy in 2k as good as I do in live. I love the graphics in live but I will give presentation to 2k. Hopefully Ea cant get this patch out to fix the issues from the first patch. Everyone is entitled to a opinion and I feel when live gets the bugs out and sim stats are believable with a improved dynasty it will put out the #1 game.

I bought both on release day. I liked live last year, but had too many issues with it. This year, live 10 does many basketball fundamentals better than 2k10. Player positioning, game pace, plays, pick and rolls (like a mini game in itself), foot planting and DEFENSE.

2k has much better animations, but the game is too reliant on these animations and take control away from the user. It is still way too easy for a cheeser to use kobe or lebron all game long and score 50-60 points. 2k has doesn't have much of a midrange game. In live, you are forced to use pick and rolls, run plays and look for mismatches to be successful.

If anyone played the NCAA10 demo it seems like the animations and player movements have been smoothed out since live.

That post did seem to have a lot of venom in it to me. Guys tend to hate more on this game than vice versa as you'll see more 2kers hop forums just to bash Live. I do not hate Live. As a matter of fact I played Live 09 more than 2k9 last year and it was looking like 10 was going to get the majority of my playing time this year until the patches came out. Both games went in opposite directions, 2k improved greatly while IMO Live got worse. I loved the way Live 'felt' post patch now it feels like any other generic bball game. If the new patch brings back Live's pre patch gameplay with the post up button and player lock fixed I will be giving both games equal burn this year.

I own both games as well and to be honest i feel the same way about live. To me 2k10 feels organic and smooth while live feels script and canned..

Well after finally getting to rent Live yesterday and playing about 10 games or so (online and offline) I definitely don't hate it. I didn't like Live 09 and hated 08, 07 and 06 (360 and the Xbox 1 version). This game is really nice though.

I absolutely love how cheesing gets penalized online. I was the Raptors and I played a guy who used the Heat in my first online game and all he did was drive in with Wade with a Mario Chalmers 3 mixed in every now and then. It was awesome seeing him miss shot after shot mindlessly driving with Wade and not being rewarded. Being a 2K guy and only getting to play 2K10 pre patch, seeing the contact animations in the paint was awesome. I won the game in the last seconds with a Barnangi 3 and I had to do a Tiger Woods fist pump because I'm so used to losing to the cheesers on Madden.

Anyways, the gameplay is awesome. I've been a 2K guy since 2K5 and this is one of the best basketball games I've played. I probably shouldn't say that because its still early but I'm enjoying it. It's a lot different from 2K and in a good way.

The detail is another thing that is really impressive. Amare with his goggles, all the jerseys and shoes and accessories.

There has been some things that are a little off like Chris Duhon dunking a couple times in an Academy drill and the post game is pretty bland but all the positives make up for the negatives.

So yeah, I don't hate it.

LOL, I dont think its so much that there is hate for the game...I just think too many act like the game is above criticism w\o that critic being a "2k fan bashing the game"

When a game gets more popular, it gets scrutinized more...I guess Live fans arent used to that, but their seemingly taking it pretty hard lol.....Its a good thing though...means the series is coming along...
