I really wanted this game but I figured the ratings and the teams/players would need hours upon hours of changes to get it to even resemble the game. Gonna pass I'm sad to say. Countryboy make sure you gives us your thoughts.

that is the way I felt too. I am bigger college fan and was looking forward to it but so far I think I will just stick with NBA live for my B-Ball fix. I am going to play the demo a bit more to see if that changes but right now I don't think I will be getting it.Wow, the game is ok. But in comparison to Live, this game is weak. The player movement is not good at all. In detail, it feels like your gluiding, rather than moving with momentum.
Now I say that this is weak compared to Live. But compared to 2k10, this game is not even a factor. Compared to 2k, put it in the same catagory as NBA the Inside and NBA Unrivaled. Ok- of course that's over-stating but you get the point.
From the demo, I can be certain that sales will be low. Not hating...just saying.Comment

LOL...in all the times I've played the demo, I just found out that you can manually attempted to bank shots in.

I just don't understand why EA does not just look at ppg/rebound stats and just base ratings off of that, how hard is that? Instead the whole game is filled with generic players save a few of the big school's stars.Yes the game can most likley be edited to improve several aspects of game play but unlike in NBA Live where your dealing with just 30 teams in College your dealing with 100's of teams and a sick of amount of players to research and edit to get them right.
If you understand EA's basketball engine and how their ratings work for this game you could tweak it to be somewhat improved from the base version whwn it releases but i'm upset they can't figure this stuff out themselves and don't plan on doing it anymore when i can just enjoy other sports games with better game play after all the edits.Comment

I attempted a few bank shots in the pregame shoot around, but it was very inconsistent. Is it like NBA Live where you have to move the LS in any direction while shooting the ball?Comment

Even if users make roster to differentiate players's skillset we would still have this problem with incoming freshmen class in Dynasty mode.My basketball dreams : A sequel to Slam Dunk and College Hoops 2k10Comment

This game last year was a mess with dynasty progression, recruiting, and base rosters. I am waiting to find out how this is improved. I spent hours tying to adjust the rosters last year in my dynasty, not going through that again. I recall one incident in which I recruited the number one player in the country, and Maryland Baltimore county had a junior on their roster that had higher ratings in almost every category, that was the last time I played the game.Last edited by stevedrumsdw; 11-15-2009, 07:07 PM.Comment

Stevedrum...to do a bank shot, press the L stick in any direction while releasing the shot to attempt a bank shot.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Hey thanks for the instruction on the bank shots, I was not quite sure how to do them.
I have played alot of games on the demo and I have not seen an illegal screen called, maybe its in the game and not the demo?Comment

n/p...I will warn you that the bank shots feel a little "inconsistent" meaning that it doesn't always seem to work although I think I'm doing it correctly.
And I'm hoping they are in. The one thing that I want in basketball games is more off the ball fouls. Rarely do you have to manage foul trouble because every foul is on the ball. Over the back, blocking players in motion, holding, riding out in the post, etc....are fouls that I would love to see be added.
Hockey games are the best games in my opinion of actually portraying the vast array of penalties the sport includes.

I hate to bring CH2K8 but I loved how recruiting was balanced in this game. I mean, you didn't have 5 stars center coming into your dynasty every year for example. I wish they have the same approach for NCAA B 10.My basketball dreams : A sequel to Slam Dunk and College Hoops 2k10Comment

I agree too, Anything to add more realism to the game is a plus in my book. I would like sometimes to have foul trouble to test my teams depth and to cause my coach to have to adjust my substitution patterns.n/p...I will warn you that the bank shots feel a little "inconsistent" meaning that it doesn't always seem to work although I think I'm doing it correctly.

I know last year you could adjust the number of fouls it took to foul a player out, but I didn't adjust it. I may experiment with it this year as I name rosters, just to see if 4 fouls would force teams to have to use their depth and manage their roster beyond fatigue.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
