    Clearing puck off glass?

How do u clear the puck off of the glass? Everytime I try to do it, it goes too high and of course a delay of game call.

I usually just take a slap-shot right into the boards.

Don't usually have any problems with it going out that way.

Yep. If I'm clearing off boards, I take a slap shot. If I'm in the middle of the ice, I dump it high.

Thanks for the replies guys, but thats not what im asking. I want to know how to clear the puck off the glass like the cpu does? Is that something only the cpu can do?

It's probably all an angle thing. If you're pointed too much at the boards, or too little, it will go over instead of hitting it.

Yeah, you have to be somewhat close to the boards. You also have to be very fine with the flip dump motion, not to get under it to much and put it over the glass. Thats how I usually throw it off the glass if I dont want to send it all the way down for an icing. If I'm in trouble and just want to get it out of the zone, thats what I usually do.

The longer you hold R1 (PS3), the higher the puck will go, so don't hold it for too long before you attempt to clear.

It is tough though, because either you hold it too long and it goes over the glass, or you dont get enough on it and it barely has any power on it. You get enough on it to get it out of the zone, but sometimes its not powerful enough to clear the zone with some authority without an icing.

If I'm understanding you right, what you want is to use the slap shot, not right bumper. RB just sails the puck. If you want to get that 'hard around' effect, you need to slap it. (For example, if you are on the boards behind your own net, just aim almost straight down at the board, and do a slap shot. That should wrap the puck around the boards and clear it from the zone...assuming you have good power and the opposing wing isn't playing his half board very well. =P)

I don't use the RB/R1 as much as I hold the the LT when skating towards the puck and then hit the right stick right when I get to the puck. Much better for clearing the puck quickly off the glass and chipping pucks out.
