I don't get how Tecmo can mess these games up so badly. Tecmo Bowl Kickoff was without question the most disappointing game of 2008. Seriously, how do you mess that game up? Why they took away all the fun elements from Tecmo Super Bowl, I'll never know. They also made the CPU laughable; in the original the season became more challenging as you advanced. In Kickoff, you could win any game 100-0.

Tecmo Basketball, as mentioned in this review, brought some innovative things to the table. I don't get why they'd scrap all that and make it some garbage arcade-fest.
