ncaa 2004
picked it up for the first time in about 4 years jus for ole time sakes. Its like I was playing a new game, I say that bcause of the presentation. I didn't realize so many elements were taken out of the new generation games. small stuff like entrances player emotion, warm ups, people getting knocked down on the sideline, refsc etc. I actually started a dynasty and was locked into the game for about 4 hrs lol. I wo9nder how long this will last..Tags: None -
Re: ncaa 2004
That was a good one, same with 2006 they really have ripped us off of good features. My favorite thing they took out was either collecting all the pennants or replaying the espn classic games and trying to rewrite history.GT: hawkeye2188 -

Re: ncaa 2004
Those guys who did that game obviously dont work for EA anymore....or either they are only relegated to the PS2 NCAA.
That game really set this series on fire, and I remember people were lined up for hours when '05 came out.
Somehow EA has forgotten that putting great team effort into a game = $$$
Instead of just, "a dab will do, and make them come back again next year"Comment

Re: ncaa 2004
I think I remember 2004. I think I liked it if I remember right.
06 was where it was at, though. Back when Race For The Heisman was awesome.
I know i'm in the minority on this, but I much preferred being able to play the games like normal. In the new ones, I miss passing, playing D, all that. In 06 you basically just played the game like any other Dynasty game, except all that mattered was your guy's numbers.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: ncaa 2004
I absolutely loved this. Heck, I have one right now for NCAA 07 (with updated rosters) and am not missing a beat. I only play 5 minute quarters for this mode, but it is still quite fun. The next gen versions are horrible because the playcalling is just atrocious and not even realistic (seems every team has same playbook).I think I remember 2004. I think I liked it if I remember right.

As a QB, I am 22-40 (55%), 622 yards, 2 TD, 2 INTs, and 65 yards rushing through 3 games for UCLA. Awsome game.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: ncaa 2004
04-06 are the best like a lot of people I played 06 for many years. Finally I wanted to start fresh in dynasty so I got 09 last year but stayed with PS2. Very happy that I stayed last gen.
I would love to crank back up the 04 game for old times sake. But I need a refresher on a few things. From what I remember (and it may have been NCAA 03) teams like UCF, MTSU, North Texas and a few other select mid-majors always ended up with top rated programs after like 5-6 years of dynasty progression due to their recruiting location. This was annoying how could it be prevented?
Also did this game have formation subs and custom playbooks?Comment

You can prevent lousy schools from taking over your dynasty but it's a little time consuming, maybe 4 mins per team. Create a coach and take control of schools like North Texas. Make sure recruiting assistance is off. At the end of the season cut their best players and do not recruit anyone. Lastly, reorder their roster and jack it up. Put the punter at qb, abs at wr, etc.
They'll lose just about every game.
Btw, formation subs are in '04.Comment

Re: ncaa 2004
I only have three copies of NCAA still: 2003 (because it's the year my Buckeyes won the national title while I was a Freshman), 2004 (best EA game ever), and 2006 (the last version I could stand on the PS2).Comment
