some asked about ESPN/CBS presentation with a low level team. well.

its partially good.

I picked prarie view a&M to start a mock dynasty and first game up was a home game vs. Idaho.

ESPN overlays and GRAPHICS were present including star watch, and the starting lineups, but you hear the PA guy. No espn commentators. so its partially if not totally nice to see this change of pace.

also dynamic crowds.. gotta love that. the upper levels of this stadium are empty. crowd is terrible.. I love this dynamic sense of atmosphere 5 thumbs up

edit: maybe not so dynamic after all, but i just quit that dynasty and did a quick match with these same teams.... same results. low crowd turnout and no ESPN commentators, but there was the espn overlays...

now i just quit again and changed the broadcast to cbs sports to see if those same two teams get no commentators.. No commentators in QUICK PLAY for low level vs low level?? WHAT IS THAT ABOUT??? i swear my excitment lied within the dynasty mode concept..

I have found one thing that annoys me.

The "WARM UP THE BUS!" chant can stay. I just don't like that it's sponsored by State Farm.

Played 1 game tonight. Lost. Presentation was great, and the gameplay is definitely better than last year. Minnesota's court is still not right unfortunately (the perimeter is below the court in real life), but I can live with that. Why didn't they put the CPU names in like we asked them to do? It isn't hard to do, and I hope they fix this. Sorry, about complaining about it again, but its a real pet peeve now.
Overall, It seems very solid with improvements and may finally keep me from playing 2K8, but we'll see

is it as good as 2k8? can you give some sort of comparison.
I also dont like the fact that they dont have a name database. Never really like the EA COLLEGE title, the name thing I never understood that.

Are any of you guys getting pretty low shooting percentages? I just played a game on varsity with default sliders. I was USC (Cali) at FLA gators and I ended the game with 41% FG and FLA had 42%. Second game in a row where the FG% was pretty low.

I just upset West Virginia with Wisconsin, mostly because WV shot 21% in the first half and 37% for the game. So, yes. Lol.

^WOW. That's pretty low. I wonder if this is how the game was programmed? Could this be the first bball game where we have to INCREASE the shooting sliders?

i started a mock dynasty with eastern washington but i get Bill and Dicky V commentating... why is it that yours doesnt have any? though i kinda like it without the commentary so i just turn it off. just curious as to why mine is different? i mean we both used small conference schools...

Well I have some bad news to report about recruiting:

Signed 4 guys in the top 100 with UVA in the third week, was way too easy, I don't think much of anything has changed about this aspect of the game at all.

The # 4 overall prospect( a 6'2" SG mind you) had a c- offensive game, you would be lucky to scratch the top 250 with a rating like that in reality. I guess that equates to an outside shot of about 70 which is no better than a role player on any run of the mill team on this game.

Also VT signed 4 one *star recruits, not gonna be real competitive in the coming years. I though they worked on the sim engine? Jeez?

Does look like more top 100 guys are signing with the schools they should be though and not Maryland Baltimore county.

I really wish we had 2 sliders, defensive awareness and user and cpu speed, I am having a difficult time finding a level to play on, varsity feels more realistic but is far to easy score, AC seems to detract from user players ability to move freely in space.

Putting the cpu blocks on zero I still had an ED Davis shot blocked by a 6'6" PF from Pacific.

Anyone else notice that the ESPN presntaion somtimes skips the starting lineups for the second team or shows them for a brief mili-second?

Without being able to lower the CPU's speed in transition I simply cannot play on AC the ratings are not true to form on that level, and varsity is too easy, anybody have any slider suggestions?

You are right about AC, up tempo feel regardless of the style of the offense both human and ai. I tried AA and liked the feel better but still quick. I am going to play around with varsity sliders to play challanging - will post soon
