Sorry in advance for the newb question, but I just got Madden. When I logged onto xbox live, it updated the game and the roster I have says November 21. However, the Vikings don't have Farve on the deph chart and he's not on the free agent list. Why would this be when the roster says November 21? (BTW, I didn't register with EA when logging onto xbox live. Would this have anything to do with it?)

You just did the title update. You need to actually try to play a ranked game on live and it will prompt to download the rosters. Make sure you save them after the download... -

I'm sorry Jaymee, I'm a noob. What do you mean by playing a "ranked" game on live? How do I do that? Do I have to navigate to a certain place to download the roster? My roster does say November 21. This sounds like I'd have to register with EA?Comment

you don't have to actually play a ranked match.
In the main menu ....go to "xbox live",then on the right hand side you will see a list of options,from there select "depth chart"...you will then get a prompt telling you that your roster is outdated and in order to play online you will need to download the latest roster.
Let the roster download,then save it and back out...that's it!

you don't have to play a ranked game. just go online and pick quick game and play unranked and it will ask you to get the most recent updated rosters. it will also save automatically. you can then back out and don't even have to play the person.
You will then have the updated rosters. Favre will be a Viking and Vick will be an Eagle.[...] but what do I know? I'm just another Madden Head.Comment
