Real FT% IS in the game

One of the features I really loved about 2k8 was the option to have the computer shoot free throws for the user based on the shooter's ability. It made the game feel more realistic as most games make it either too easy or too hard to shoot freebies manually and cause unrealistic stats that can hurt a game in my eyes.

Anyways, there is no option to do this in the menu like in 2k8. However, if you get to the line and then don't press any button, the computer will automatically shoot the ball after 3-5 seconds of just standing there for a free throw. I noticed that some shots went in and others didn't, with the better shooters making more so I can only assume that real FT% is in the game, just not the way I used to think of it.

This is a great feature and I didn't really see it mentioned around here so I wanted to make sure the "sim" guys knew this. Pleasant surprise (like many things in this game)

hm interesting. I didn't know this. I'll have to give this a go in some of my games and see how the % comes out.
    Thanks for the tip!

didn't know about this. Nice find, although I prefer to shoot the freebies myself.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I have not done it enough times (I try to skip these FT sequences), but the few times I have (with a good player) they always miss.

This is am awesome find ofr me ! I posted in another thread how I suck at FT shooting so I had the slider on the easy side, but the CPU was hitting everything in sight.

I wonder though If you jack the Slider all the way to difficult if it affects the way the "auto" FT's are made/missed. Anyone familair with the feature know for sure?

I don't know for sure, but I'm leaving it at 50 just in case it does affect this. Should provide the most "sim" experience.
