some great points out there. the spped definately needs to be slowed down. one thing they need is more realistic tackling and running animations. when i run with masoli or pryor i want to feel the difference between somone with the long strides with pryor, and the shorter, quicker bursts of Masoli. Crowd noise needs to be a HUGE factor in 11. Also, they definately need the towels, handwarmers, half sleeves(like in madden), and the one sleeve you see so many college players wearing now too. i really hope they integrate the espn broadcast system and more off the field animations like mentioned in the article.

      essential updates no particular order
      1. some kind of signature styles for position players, i want noel devine to feel different than toby gerhart
2.graphics desparatly i want something to blow me away, how bout a sky cam?
      3. running looks pathetic, grand theft auto does a better immatation of running,
      4. ratings need to be fixed, some players that may be a 88 overall now aren't going to get any better, im tired of seeing above average players becoming super stars through out dynasty
      5. ratings need to matter more, a 99 overall player should truly dominate, he should be up for the heisman and all that
Where 92 All-Americans happen; where 31 bowl victorys happen; where 21 SEC championships happen; where 12 National Championships happen; where Alabama happens, is where amazing happens.

fix teams with numbers on the helmet (ie: Alabama) so they don't disappear during game action.

make pride stickers visible...right now they are only visible after the play is over.

If you play on a wet field, and get tackled on the paint section of midfield or an endzone...have the players jersey get dirty. Right now, everyone's jerseys are clean as a button until the 2nd quarter, then they get slightly dirty...then in the 4th quarter everyone uniforms are dirty.

Would love it if rain would come midway through a game or off and on in the form of showers, just like a real weather game. Some games start out cloudy and finish in a rain...some start in rain and finish dry...some rain throughout, but have the rain get harder or lighter throughout.

When there's snow or rain, make the players speed and ball carring drop...linemans agility fall...when its windy the QB's accuracy should fall.

I'd still like the ability to determine prior to the game in the uniform selector if I want my team to wear high socks or low socks.

WAYYYY too many tipped/batted down passes by the DL guys...I think I average 5 or 6 a game, they jump and just stay up forever. Annoying.

Make the Human blitz packages as effective as the CPU's. The human blitz (ran by the cpu controlled players) gets picked up every single time, but 85% of the CPU blitzes on your OL are effective and get through without being blocked.

Get the colors right. Gold helmet don't turn brown when it rains, or at night. Some schools like Cincinnati, Texas Tech, Rutgers and VT have a slight sparkle in their helmets, very similar to the Silvers of Ohio State and Golds of say UCLA or Colorado.

Just little things that would make this game far more enjoyable.

Pass rush angles, especially for edge pass rushers, need to be addressed, or this game will always have a "fastbreak football" feel.

I shouldnt have to run or assign a spy, every friggen down against scrambling QBs.

Most succesful QB runs off of scrambles occur off of step ups in the pocket.

Why? Because when a DE maintains proper outside rush angle..he almost always forces the QB up...not further outside.

The QB needs to make a exceptional athletic play, to escape a in position DE..he may get away with it a couple of times a game.

In this game, not only do your AI controlled DE's not aggressively engage the OL, they dont make aggressive use of moves, counter moves, nor do they ever maintain outside contain.

There is no nastiness to the AI controlled Defensive lineman.

Excellent points!!! I've complained about DE angles/forming a pocket for years. It just isn't right. Some simple geometry is needed here and overdue.

Also, brilliant about spying QB's. When I have two LB's in a short zone for coverage and the QB scrambles up the gut, they should kill the QB once he reaches the LOS. Not just sit back and watch him. Zone should turn to spy once the ball reaches the LOS. Common Football knowledge.

Make QB's get killed for not stepping up. See Jordan Jefferson vs. Ole Miss this past weekend. Also, the OL/DL interaction leaves too big of a gaping hole open right up the gut. The QB shouldn't be able to just walk thru that hole.

              Nice post sporty guy!

Re: Five Essential Fixes for NCAA Football 11

Presentation is a must. The overall polish on this game is downright embarrassing for a next gen title.

I had tried this game again and bought it online. It was a mistake and it's back up on e-bay. I tried playing half a game today when I had some time to kill and just shut it off. I popped the Show 09 in for the first time in awhile and it just blew me away. The graphics, detail, smoothness, presentation, etc. are so much better than anything NCAA 10 has it was ridiculous. The Show 09 is close to reality while in NCAA 10 I get choppy animations and a crowd chant that someone manufactured in their basement. The NCAA team actually took a backwards step this year instead of a much needed step forward imo.

The NCAA team really needs to focus on polishing up this game. Forget adding a bunch of new stuff and work on shipping a glitch free game with user options and great presentation. Wow us with that stuff instead of disappointing us. I really hope they actually release a game that doesn't require an immediate patch because something was shipped horribly broken.

I would love to see like coaching carosels and contracts. Not just the stupid little offers now, but maybe money values in them so coaches can work their way up from a small school to a powerhouse more realistically.

And also to have recruiting be more realistic. A MAC school that makes two straight bowl games with an 8-4 record should not be attracting multiple 5 star recruits. Also how most of the 5 star recruits have 2 scholarship offers, some have no offers. Why is this when most recruits 3 stars or higher have 10 plus offers easily?

Hopefully with the improvement with Madden, the NCAA team will realize that their product needs to step it up.

I would like the physics and line play to improve but I am a realist and realize we are likely stuck with this engine until the next generation console comes out.

Presentation wise I would like to see things that were in the last gen version of the game. I have been playing a lot of 06 lately and things in that game that I would like to see in the next gen version of the game are: bowl patches, visors that don't disappear and reappear, eye black, officiating crew, coaches on the sidelines, players at midfield for the pregame coin toss, Lee Corso mascot head pick, long hair that hangs out of the helmet, and dumping Gatorade on the coach after a big win or upset.

i think they should include some popular fcs teams like montana and villanova who are on the schedule of small fbs like idaho state

All they need to do to get my 60 bucks is bring back USB flash drive roster file support so I can download named rosters off OS. I don't have access to PSN, so it was a bummer to learn I couldn't have named rosters because of that.

I would like the QB play to be more organic.

All of the QBs play, and react pretty much the same.

Every CPU controlled team employs the same passing scheme, regardless of personnel.

I doubt the upgrades will be very limited this year, be on the look out for a little more presentation, maybe college-tak and new rosters. That will be all, this series really has dropped off the map....it's really starting to get boring.
