Whoa... LaRon Landry is calling Roy Williams out

LaRon Landry had some less than flattering things to say about Roy Williams that was posted in the Redskins blog:

LaRon Landry Doesn't Give A [Darn] How He Played

"One thing that Landry was willing to take a little pride in, though, was his effect on Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams. I danced around Williams' reaction a little bit, not wanting to be overly presumptuous. He was, I suggested, um, a little --

"Scared," Landry said flatly. "Yeah. I know he was. Y'all can quote it, too. Y'all can tell him right now, tell him I'm sayin' it. I can say it right now: yeah, he was scared, I think. I told him he was scared."

And what did Williams say when Landry called him scared? "Nothing," Landry said.

(A reporter pointed out that Williams would be here in a few weeks, and Landry chuckled. "I don't care," he said. "What's that gonna do?")

"Certain pass concepts they had," Landry continued, by way of explaining how he knew Williams was scared. "Certain routes he ran, you could tell he didn't want any part of it.""

    Ouch!

Roy Williams' manhood is certainly being tested with LaRon Landry calling him "scared." If anything, this should definitely add more intrigue to the Cowboys vs. Redskins rematch in D.C.

Funny thing is he's right... Williams looked scared in that game and he probably won't do anything different when they play again. It's funny bc Landry is quickly becoming the Bart Scott of the Skins, only worse bc Bart Scott is actually good, just not as good as he thinks he is. Landry's play has seemed to go down each week while his celebrating and trash talking goes up. If the Redskins bring in someone to "clean house" I wouldn't be shocked if he's the 2nd traded away (only second to Rogers).

You having troubles there Andromada? lol

Anyway, Landry might be right, but it's funny because Landry has been regressing since his rookie year. He should really just be quiet.

I always find it funny when average/mediocre players think they are something special and speak out in the media. The Skins have a couple players like that.

Given the state of the Redskins, you would think the courage of Roy Williams would be the least of Landry's concerns.

For what it's worth, Williams has already responded with the customary "it's not true" and "at least we won" remarks.

Landry's a bum and Williams is a bum. Who cares about two bums calling each other out?

            Seriously though.

Not sure why Landry would call Williams out, especially after losing.

That being said, he's right. It's pretty clear Williams wants no piece of the ball between the hashes.

Landry calling out someone else and calling them scared is funny itself. Could we say the samething about him when Brandon Jacobs owned his *** last year? Or what about Michael Turner this year?

Seems pointless at this point, especially after the heart-breaking loss. I didn't exactly see Landry making any plays when it mattered most on that late scoring 4th qtr drive.

Can't make plays when you constantly swing and miss. That's essentially Laron Landry. He can hit, but he wraps up a ball carrier about as good as Hall; at least this year.

to be honest..Laron played one of his better games on Sunday, didn't miss tackles. made Roy Williams get gator arms.

I think we'll see a different Laron from here on out, Jerry Gray must've gotten to him when he had a talk with him.

Only reason Landry dont' get INTs or anything like that is because he plays 40 yards back, and that's because of our DC scheme. I believe if we played him right, he'll be a player.

4th Q drive by the cowboys was some bulljive. Cowboys had 2 offensive of lineman pass the line of scrimmage on the touchdown throw. How in the world did the Refs miss that? Oh it's the Cowboys

Stop whining. Skins had their chance to win the game and the defense choked when it mattered. Blaming the game on the refs is ridiculous.

This falls under "who cares" news. A FS who has underperformed all season calls out a WR who had underperformed all season. While Landry statement was true given what I saw, it would be like the proper tackling angle calling out Laron Landry saying "Laron is scared to use me."

Man, Landry was expected to be a BEAST. He had/has the talent, I think it's on the Skins, not him.

To say that completely negates the fact that before the Dallas game, his angles were horrendous and the only thing worse that that was his tackling. He came in with a reputation as a being fast and a hitter on par with Sean Taylor (RIP), and for a while Taylor made similar errors at the time of his passing he was arguably ascending to the position of top 3 safeties in the league. Landry is actually regressing at this point.

"Having said that..." The Dallas game was by far his best game of the season, if he can continue to make plays like that going forward he will be a better player.
