Still waiting for my copy, should get it between the 8th and the 14th, boo waiting. Only positive is some updates and hopefully some fixes, plus I don't have to wait on rosters.

Re: NCAA Basketball 10 Available, Post Impressions Here
I watched some cpu vs. cpu games to try and get a hold on the lack of 3 point shots. It appears the 3 point rating solely determines who will shoot them and how many. If the player is rated around 70 or above he is more likely to shoot them. I am thinking if you raise most players around or above this range you could see more 3 point attempts.
Of course, then the problem of too many made creeps in. Maybe lowering CPU long range shooting would help at that point. This may take a while but I think I'm on the right track.
I don't think there is anything to do about the cpu taking that little 6 foot jump shot, but at least more 3s would mix it up a bit.Comment

Re: NCAA Basketball 10 Available, Post Impressions Here
One thing i found out last night is if you play a 2-3 zone the cpu will start looking to shoot threes.
I was just messing around and started playing a zone and the cpu shot a 3 almost every possision.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: NCAA Basketball 10 Available, Post Impressions Here
There is only some partial truth to that IMO. It is more determined by what team the cpu is using. I primarily play a 2-3 zone and my opponents so far have averaged slightly less than 10 3pt attempts per game unless I am playing Duke. This is on 20-minute halves as well. Admittedly, I havne't played many teams with the caliber of 3pt shooters of Duke but most college teams will attempt at least 15 threes a game regardless of the defense played against them.
I checked www.statsheet.com and found that Evansville attempted the least number of threes last year among all 343 division 1 teams. They averaged 10 attempts per game. Yale attempted the second least least in absolute number but still averaged 12 a game. Georgetown was around the midpoint for threes taken and had an average of 18 per game. No matter which way you slice it this game needs more three point attempts by the cpu.----------

Agreed, Rub. This game is going on eBay tonight.
Sad, only kept it for ten days. Live is so much further ahead than this game and the CPU post game is inexcusable and is a game killer for me. At this point I would rather play NCAA 09 simply because the CPU plays better on offense - and every other part of 10 is a gigantic improvement but I just can't live with it. Live somehow corrected the post passing issue but based on blackflash's post it doesn't sound like a patch is coming for this game.
At least I'll finally purchase 2K10, but it's definitely CH2K8 for college ball this winter. Already spent some time during the long weekend editing some 09-10 rosters."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: NCAA Basketball 10 Available, Post Impressions Here
I will enjoy it and continue to finish my own roster set. Although I do agree that it is NO replacement for 2K8. At times I find myself thinking about going back and playing my 2K8 Legacy, it's sad that in two years without 2K8 EA simply can't capitalize and finally make something that actually challenges its past competition in collegiate basketball. I find myself dreaming, no scratch that, fantasizing of a new College Hoops 2K game with a similar motion offense feature, how wonderful would that be?Comment

Re: NCAA Basketball 10 Available, Post Impressions Here
True, but I've noticed that the type of tempo the team plays is also a factor. I've seen up tempo teams take way more 3's than balanced and half court teams.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Say it isn't so! We need you man. I'm confident that EA will work on this and get some things hashed out. I'm not quitting yet but am in a holding patternComment

Re: NCAA Basketball 10 Available, Post Impressions Here
I may be with ehh on this one. After getting Live 10 today and then going back to NCAA it feels like NCAA is a couple of steps behind. Back to the drawing board EA and company. Maybe I'll pick it up again when a and if a patch comes out. Until then, we'll see what happens.Moderator

Thing is, we're not even sure if we are even getting a patch. It makes sense for him to sell it now, and get the most money out of it.
For me, I'm just going to hold out a few more weeks and hope word of a patch that fixes the freezing problems comes up. If not, I'll probably put it up on ebay.
I could easily see myself playing this game for many dynasty seasons. Heck, I'm already through 1/3 of the first year.Comment

Patch or not, I'm really enjoying the game! Overall it's great to me, and I'm really digging the Dynasty mode, I've already renamed my streets names of my Campus to the real streets. lol..Thing is, we're not even sure if we are even getting a patch. I'm loving the game too. I know there's flaws in the gameplay, but overall I think it's a hell of a game. But, I really need a patch to continue to keep playing this game, because my game keeps freezing(as others have experienced).Comment

I have not had the game freeze. It seems many have this problem, but I have yet to see it and I've played this game a lot.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment
