My friend came over yesterday to watch the UT/UK game

After the game he let me borrow the game, i don't like it i coulden't get a rebound on defense dUKe out rebounded me 25-17, 15 on the o-fense side. But i took over with John Wall and came back from 8 with 1:30 and tied with a buzzer beater and the dUKe players went crazy acting like they won the game i was like WTF??? Then it froze.

I love the presentaiton in this game, the ESPN, CBS is GREAT, hopefully this will get to NCAA Football.

1 - Passing the ball from the post (anyone that uses a flex style offense, the offense is BASED off of passing from the post). This NEVER happens from the CPU. I have tried different coverages, manually covering down low, upping Defensive Post Strength to 100...nothing works. This hurts me the most, because once the CPU passes down low, it's an automatic shot and really repetitive.

I really wanted to get a college basketball game...but this is an absolute game killer. I mean, that's just a basic fundamental. I can't believe they got that so wrong.

To be sure...do they 100% never pass out of the post? Never?????

What if I triple teamed a PF in the post and left all the CPU shooters open? He still wouldn't pass? Never?Not even occasionally, but not often etc? Simply never?

I am not talking about guards...just bigs.

If I double team a PF...leaving open the CPU shooter...he will pass it out?

Can we get this clarified one way or the other as some people are saying "never"...others are saying "they do".

I may get this game eventually, so this stuff is important.

yes...I've seen bigs pass out of the post. It may not happen as often people think or maybe as much as it should, but it does happen.

Typically, I cheat down with the defender who was guarding the player who passed the ball into the post and will call for a double team at the same time. This will often make the big pass the ball back out and then reset.

Too bad the game doesn't have the option to double a player in the paint like they used to. Would help out greatly.

Yes, the bigs pass out of the post occasionally. They do pass it out or at least head-fake for an up-and-under too. They catch and shoot far less frequently on AA difficulty, but playing on that level has problems of its own (AI catchup / rubberband logic, frequent turnovers for both user and CPU despite sliders, refs heavily favoring CPU, sloppy user post play) that are also not fixable with sliders. AC difficulty would be ideal for me if there were a way to get the CPU to pass out of the post more frequently.

I agree CB they do pass out of the post. As someone mentioned maybe not as much but I have been in games as of late where they pass a lot more than in the beginning when I 1st picked up the game.

As I've started changing my defense often they are passing a lot more than ever. Hope this helps your decision. Peace!!!!

I've passed many times out of the post with Zeller, Henson, Davis and the rest of my PF/C players.

I like how half the people that keep posting with all these faults, don't even have a xbox live link to even show they actually have the game. Majority of the post in this thread and the Live thread comes from people with profiles missing the xbox live and PSN links. Claiming to have the game and making majority of your post and complaints about what others have said!

If you had the game you'd see that many of the things you claim aren't true. This game and Live play pretty damn well and that's out the box and on default. On NCAA BB 10, I've found Authentic's sliders to be damn near perfect for 20 min quarters. Also on Live on default 12 mins on Pro it's damn near perfect.

Minus the goaltending bug that is a issue for some people right now on Live and claimed on NCAA 10, I haven't experienced it, but I'm not everybody.

But if you really want to complain, add your xbl / psn profile to your account and show us you actually own the game, instead of spamming the threads with remarks (copy and pasted over multiple threads and pages)

BehindShadows, just to clarify what others are saying, the issue isn't you not being able to pass out of the post. It's the cpu not passing out of the post more frequently. If they passed out of the post more frequently we could get even more realistic scores on 20-min halves.

I'm still enjoying this game a ton and will continue to play cause it's so much fun and still plays a very good game of college bball. But here are two things that are really starting to bother me (other than what has already been brought up):

1. the abundance of And 1 calls where you’re fouled on the shot but still make the basket. It happens equally to both user and cpu. I don’t even think the NBA has so much And 1s much less college. It’s not a major issue, just annoying.

2. How much more difficult it is to shoot a Free Throw when you visit a top 10 place to play vs shooting them at home. I play on AC with FT Slider set at 55. I’ll shoot 80% at home with Miami then go on the road and can’t even manage 40%. It shouldn’t be that much more difficult to shoot FT on the road unless the opposing fans are throwing darts and hammers at you when you to the line. Am I the only one experiencing this?

CPU passing out of the post is the issue not the user being able to do it.
That really is the main thing that bother me the most. I've seen CPU teams throw up plenty of 3's and some that maybe shoot 2 3's a game. I can live with that.
I already turned off commentary as it's pretty repetitive. The game is fun which is why I'm still playing it. I just feel a tad more tweaking/fixing by EA could have made a huge difference in the game. Hopefully they do in fact patch it at least once.

No offense but why does it matter if someone has their XBL or PSN tag under their profile here have to do with people posting their impression of this or any other game at OS? Give me a break. Maybe some don't post their tags, like myself, because they don't want to get spammed with friend requests from some of the children here at this site. I have both Live 10 and NCAA 10 and I can honestly say that both games are ok but has a long way to go to resemble the game of basketball. They can't even get the fundamental of the game into their basketball series.

Before my 360 RROD on me I was playing this game a lot. And I maybe saw the cpu bigs (C & PF) pass out of the post 5 times total. Even when I put double team on both bigs they still didn't pass.

It got to a point where I had to force myself not to control different players because of it. So I stopped switching and guarding the ball so I wouldn't be tempted to try and block the shot coming out of the post.

That to me is killing the game for me. That issue only is keeping me from going any further with the game. Well that and my 360 not working.
