Re: 11/30-12/6 NBA Discussion
Lakers got NO, MIA, and PHX on their plate this week. If both Lakers and the Suns win their matchups, then on Sun. it will be a battle for 1st place in the West Conf. -

Bobcats get the Celtics. I wonder how the new look Bobcats stack up to the Celtics. We usually play well against good teams, and our games against the C's are always close.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Must be nice being at home alllllllllll week, and only playing four road games by the time December 6 rolls around, and still with two home games after that.Comment

Let's not act as if it doesn't even out in the end.
Take a look at December, January, Feb, and March.Comment

Decent amount of games with top class teams going at it this week. PHX@CLE on Wednesday. BOS@SA on Thursday. DEN@SA and ATL@DAL on Saturday. And last PHX@LAL on Sunday.

And the Suns, from 12/6 to 12/17, play @LAL, @DAL, vs. Orlando, @ Denver (b2b), vs. San Antonio, @ Portland.
Not to mention twice against Cleveland, and closing out the month AGAIN with the Lakers and Boston.
We've gone on a five-game road trip already (Miami, Orlando, Boston, Philly, Washington), and another four gamer that we're currently in.
I just don't get why it has to be so imbalanced.Comment

Re: 11/30-12/6 NBA Discussion
it's crazy to me. by the time they hit the road they'll be in midseason form. the first thing i thought was that was what stern wanted. may seem far fetched until you realize what a huge advantage it is to play that many games at home to start a season. while most teams are struggling to get their feet under them and win on the road, lakers will have had all that time to become a well oiled machine. not like they particularly need that but with artest and bynum back in the mix, they could use this time to build chemistry, and easily end up with the #1 seed again. either way, it's a big advantage for a team that doesn't need one, at allComment

LA isn't the only team with the weird scheduling.it's crazy to me. by the time they hit the road they'll be in midseason form. the first thing i thought was that was what stern wanted. may seem far fetched until you realize what a huge advantage it is to play that many games at home to start a season. while most teams are struggling to get their feet under them and win on the road, lakers will have had all that time to become a well oiled machine. not like they particularly need that but with artest and bynum back in the mix, they could use this time to build chemistry, and easily end up with the #1 seed again. either way, it's a big advantage for a team that doesn't need one, at all
They need no such advantage you're right so it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
BTW again, let's not act as if they don't have grueling road trips for the rest of the season. It's not exactly a good thing to have a first month of all home games... then have to go out on these extended road trips during the meat of the season to the end..
Stop crying
