it is realistic because it happens all the time. do you not follow college football? the recent ACC raid and WKU into the Sunbelt to name a couple. and again it's only practical to you because it fits the way YOU game. just as many people play offline and the feature is in for both so i'm tired of hearing how great is only for OD

It's not ridiculous to want the conference field logos to be correct. What is ridiculous is to complain about it in such as way as though they should not have even bothered with custom conferences unless they made sure the field logos were correct.
It's impossible for EA to please everyone, and they certainly don't please me all the time, but people should be thanking them for the custom conferences feature, not being whiny sourpusses about it.
As a user, I understand the general sentiment of being frustrated that things don't seem to be done 100%. But as a software engineer by trade, I also understand that you have to make choices and sacrifices in a project. Just because something is technically feasible and seemingly easy to implement does not mean it is worth taking the time away from other things. And believe me, no feature is as easy to implement as it seems.
The bottom line is that the conference field logos issue is a fit and finish issue. That is never as important as a functionality issue, or data loss, or most other types of issues. NCAA has enough functionality glitches and data loss problems without further impairing their ability to fix them by trying to please everyone's standards of realism. OMT points it out all the time, but it can't be stressed enough. Those feature requests threads are enormous, and if you asked 100 people for their top 3 wishes, you would get 100 different answers. Development time is limited. Just to get the custom conferences feature in at all is a win for us. -

My final comment on this issue. It's amazing to me that you (last two posters above) can call the feature "halfway done" when the only thing that is apparently missing is field conference logos for the moved teams. IMO that's like calling a newly-built house halfway done, when all it needs is paint! Sure, the technology is there to paint the house and sooner or later you've got to paint it, but the house is still useful (and far more than halfway done), without it!Last edited by TrevJo; 03-16-2009, 07:58 PM.Comment

that's cool man if it's not a big deal to you then no worries. and this really isn't an argument i'm just saying that i'm happy for the ODers who this will help, but for me personally it's basically a wasted feature because you can't do it realisitcally and by realistic i mean how it would look if it happened in the real world not that does happen all the time.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 10 Blog: Custom Conferences
This was never a feature in old gen. You could never place an FBS team in a different conference in old gen. You could only replace an FBS team with an FCS team or a created team.Comment
