stux, have you tried messing with:
    • Offensive Run vs. Pass Ratio
    • RB 1 vs. RB 2 carries distribution slider
    • Defensive Run vs. Pass ratio-I noticed that sack totals went down in the previous patch when I bumped this slider up. Also toning down the aggressiveness slider for defense lessened the number of sacks.
    GO FALCONS!

      Stat related numbers/impressions…<O</O
Just wanted to add some WR, CB, and Team stat ranges I hadn’t seen discussed yet for those interested in stats. Orange is obviously a Madden gen’d year.
      Receiving TDS<O></O>
      2009 19 10+ TDs (High 17x2)<O></O>
      2008 7 10+ TDs (High 12)
      2007 11 10+ TDs (High 16 + Moss’ record 23)
      2006 5 10+TDs (High 13)
      2005 8 10+TDs (High 12)
      Team PPG (Top Ten Range)<O></O>
      2009 25.5-31.0 [+4.025-+3.475]<O></O>
      2008 21.6-28.9
      2007 21.0-27.2 (+NE 36.8)
      2006 19.6-25.8
      2005 23.7-28.2
Sacks - This is insanely inflated, but I can only assume this happened so that the OLBs got theirs too and it sent the DLs way up.
      2009 55-68 [+16.75 - +12.25]<O></O>
      2008 35-59
      2007 37-53
      2006 40-61
      2005 41-50
(AP ran for record setting 31 TDs and 2740 yards this year. He also had 4 TDs on just 8 carries v. DET in week 10 )
I am happy about the following…<O></O>
      CB Tackles – Season Leaders<O></O>
      Finnegan 66 TACK<O></O>
      Webster 58 TACK<O></O>
      Flowers 57 TACK<O></O>
      S. Smith 54 TACK<O></O>
This resulted in A. Winfield and C. Finnegan finishing top 5 in Conference Best DBs
When I ran seasons before CBs never contended for the yearly award and were WAY down near the bottom of the list.
Previous year leaders total (not combined) tackles<O></O>
      2008 Gamble 83
      2007 Griffin 82
      2006 Barber 84
      2005 Winfield 89 <O></O>
      Not perfect, but it’s better.<O></O>

        No

I am only using one USER controlled team. I simmed all games (not game by game the entire season at once).

There may be a way of tweaking that I am not sure. I haven't every done the control all 32 team thing and don't feel I should need to in order to get decent results.

        NOTE: (to for those interested)

The linebackers are getting more sacks now. The following teams have players with over 10 sack in a LB position (third simmed season):

NE (more then one), Tampa(more then 1), AZ, Seatle, PIT (harrison 21)

I'm seeing a lot of posts on stats which is great, but I really would like to hear more about gameplay.

It's funny but I think Tecmo Superbowl got stats right years ago.

So if the CPU is covering the flats better, is it causing any problems with the rest of coverage (beyond what is reasonable in real life)?

Are you guys seeing too many sacks now (by the human on the CPU QB)? Do they still have that insane ability to let go of the ball right when you hit them unless you dive like a madman?

Any off target throws by the CPU QB or throwing out of bounds?

What about completion percentage in played games by the CPU QB? Are they still robo QB?

          Thanks.

What has stopped me from playing Madden for months is the terrible end of game AI and the computer running out of bounds after a pass when there is plenty of open field.
Have these issues been fixed or improved? Please advise and thank you.

So someone else also said they noticed the "hitch" gone when running... can someone confirm this? When you have a tired/fatigued player, does he slow down but without the hitch when running?

I also have a few gameplay questions a few posts back... basically asking to confirm what was implicated being in this patch.

Yes, please share more info about gameplay. I have no intention to be a jerk, but there are already about 50 posts about franchise stats. We get it!

It feels like it did before patch #1. Ive ran a few kickoffs back and havent noticed the hitch. Im sure the KR guys werent fatigued though. Unless im blind to it, i havent seen the hitch at all.

Ok admittedly not very important but I know there's Jim Johnson tribute logos for the Eagles but did they remove him from the game? Seems logical but I've never seen a coach get removed before.

And you know how some people are---- they think the only thing people should care about is what they care about and everyone else's concern(s) don't matter.

With that being said, I am anxiously awaiting some more game play impressions because I have to sit at my desk for another 6-7 hours before I can start playing the game myself.
Exactly, and as another guy mentioned, stats are easier to find out about right away. The patch just came out, so its not like we've got a ton of games played on the new patch to give accurate gameplay info yet. Give it time grasshoppers, it will come.
I'm happy w/ everthing I'm seeing so far, stats and gameplay. Flats are much better imo.

If you change the rb1 and rb2 sliders does it lower the crazy stats at the end of the year?

Most teams use two RBs, some like the Jags, Vikings, Lions and 49ers use a single featured back. Can someone sim a 32 team franchise so I can get an idea of what sliders and settings need to be changed?

the Vikings have two backs (Chester Taylor and AP).

I would like to see somebody try this also.
