I got some good news and some bad news.

Good news is that if you control all 32 teams and set all the teams to 60-40 favoring the pass, it corrects rushing numbers. Passing numbers are still slightly high, but its playable.

Bad news is that this does nothing for sacks.

Also controlling all 32 teams is a PURE F'ING DISASTER. After the first season, even with CPU making all the moves. The CPU doesnt sign enough people. When I tried to sim the first game in season 2, the pop up came up and said that the Saints didnt have enough cap room to sign enough players to fill their roster.

Thing was, I thought they might need one player. WRONG. They needed 5 offensive lineman, 2 defensive backs, and a kicker. Isnt the CPU supposed to be doing this????

Either way people, we waited months for a patch only to be let down in typical EA fashion. I seriously think im done with EA sports titles. I love Madden and NCAA football, but I cant bare to put up with this year after year.

Everyones best bet is to delete their game data utility and play the game how it was released, before the patches. Patches ruining games, only EA could get away with this. Im pissed. Theres no way Looman and the team didnt see all this stats disaster. And they still released it? Why? Talk about sticking it to the poeple that fill your pockets.

I can understand why you would be frustrated. So far the results everyone is posting do not look very good....

With that said, last I checked there are no other football games....which just goes to show what a joke exclusive rights really are. So as a football fan, I have no choice but to play this game....and EA knows that. (It's why they bought the rights)

Ultimately, I am glad they tried to improve the game but am frustrated it did not turn out as well as it could have. Overall, this game and NCAA is not UNPLAYABLE. They are still good games that just have a few flaws in them.

The one thing I have taken away from all of this is that communities like this one, especially this one actually, need to stand up once these exclusive deals in major league baseball and nfl football run out and essentially make our stand. No more exclusive rights....it kills the market and stunts productivity. Competition is everything.

30 sacks??? atrocious. Let 2k have a chance now! 2500 yards is also pretty disgusting. Im definately going back and deleting game data utility and start my chise pre patches. Ive never heard of patches making games worse.

I know what you're saying but it's not that crazy. You could have someone get 30 sacks one of these days. It's not even an average of two per game. Strahan had 22.5 one year, right?

I don't think so...from what I have seen, it does it regardless of the cap. Besides, there is always the league minimum.

The LB's may not get to the flats in time to stop the catch, but when i've called man i've had my LB's and Safeties haul to catch up to the back and try and make the tackle for short gains. If the ball is late sometimes they'll make a play on it. This is only on a 2 game sample though

wEEman... I may need to start manually playing safety especially if underneath guys can do their job a little better. You are right about safeties being too deep. I don't even respect safeties anymore... I hit posts and seams right in front of them all day.

Yeah, but with all due respect, 22.5 in one year is the record? 7.5 more...that's how many a lot of good players get in one year on top of a record breaking year. I'm sorry but, that's ridiculous.

yea 22.5 is far away from 30...and 30 sacks is out of control there is no explanation for that...Jared Allen is good not that good.

some seasons players don't reach 20 sacks let alone 30

well the flat is covered but the safeties drop too far back so all u have to do now to beat cover 2 is throw the ball up the hash and the safeties are too far away to react on the play

Is the Linebackers getting into there spots??

Jared Allen's career high is 15.5 sacks...30 is almost double his career high!

they get to their spots but they dont react to whats around them...the go to spot and sit

if ur playing D u gotta hope the lb or safety defender warps to make a play on the ball. its a joke.

now the corners sit in flats reguardless if there is a player running a route in the flat.

a cover 2 corner is suppose to read the flat if no one is going to the flat they are suppose to drop back to limit the void area between the corner and the safety...then drive on any routes in front of them but in Madden they dont do that.

Yeah you are right. Half the time I have to run a defensive formation with more DB's just to cover 3 receiver sets because LB's still have a lot of trouble.

Its just terrible man. After all that wait. There no way that Josh Looman didnt see this. No way. And he released it this way anyway. Thats what stuns me. Its like a pure slap in my face.

22.5 is the record. But two to three guys are killing that every year making it the normal. Which is horrible.

Its just pitiful. They need competition. Until then its going to be this way year after year. I dont see how people can still take up for this company.

You are right...they are not listening and we have no choice but to swallow it. All we can hope for and lobby for at this point is that this exclusive rights deal never happens again.

And by the way, why is it so hard to adjust the stats so that they will be accurate? I am not trying to be a jerk. I am serious. Does anyone know the actual reason why they are having such a hard time doing this?

sounds like an open invitation to audible to streaks, every time you get a cover 2 pre-snap read.

Granted that is an open spot in a "hard" cover 2, but in reality, that is one of the hardest throws for a QB to make. If its short or long at all...its a turnover.
