Would you mind commercials in game if the game were cheaper?

Say at the end of each quarter there is a 15 to 30 second commercial promoting one of the sponsors. Would you be interested in something like this if the games price was lowered by around $20?

It depends how many commercials would be seen each game. With EA's current advertising, the addition of commercials would make the games 20 minutes longer.

Definitely. Now I don't think it would be lowered by 20 but 10-15 would be awesome.

if there were like 4 commercials in the game or a block of commercials at halftime,
i wouldnt mind paying 20-30 bucks for a game

I have absolutely no problem with the add pop ups, but I wouldn't get it with commercials.

There's already a whole lot of complaints about the whole 1st down measuring stick moments throughout the game, and that's just 10 secs/scene. People want to get through the games quickly. Adding commericals would make the whole game detrimental, even if we were paying half of the current cost

I think it could be interesting. After each quarter there could be a 15 second commercial...but with stats being shown or a replay of a touchdown score.

commercial is an advertisement for something not EA affiliated. So there would be no stats/highlights, etc...

That's why there is already "The Extra Point" in Franchise mode.

We already get ads in games... it hasn't affected the price of the game.

IMO, we're going to start getting commercials in game soon... and the price still won't be affected.

I seriously doubt they're going to start adding mandatory commercials, as long as it's something that can just be skipped immediately with a single click of a button, that's fine, but if it's even 15 seconds that you have to watch each half, that would be ridiculous. I definitely don't think they could make enough money off those commercials to make it worth it. I know that the public will pretty much blindly buy the product year after year, but that might be something big enough to piss people off to have them play the previous years game with no ads, instead of the new game.

I will gladly pay full price to not have any malicious* advertising in-game. The popup ads annoy me enough (better now, but were coming up every play). Being forced to watch commercials would prevent me from buying madden.

*I have no problem with 'player of the game, brought to you by _____' type advertising, which can be considered part of the presentation. But, advertising just for the sake of advertising is not something I'm willing to pay for.

I was thinking the same thing. If I see "Chompionship" by Snickers one more time I will scream. It don't make me want to buy a Snickers and didn't lower the game price. EA would just pocket the money anyway and keep the price the same. Bad idea.
