I'm with the folks that say fix the real issue. The FOUNDATION of the game is still broken.

Fix the player interaction so the engaged blocks happen realistically. Engaged blocks should have some mobility so that defenders can still flow towards the play. As it is, once a defender is engaged, he & the blocker are stuck in mud until either the defender defeats the block or gets pancaked.

Fix the footwork so that players have to adhere to the rules of physics.

Fix the AI.

I hoped that EA's band-aid "fixes" were over. Every time they apply a band-aid, it compounds the problem. 2 wrongs don't make it right.
