    Patch 2 breaks wildcat.

Jet sweep no longer hands off and has a goofy animation that appears intermittently on other WC plays where the HB keeps it, usually when someone other than the primary ballcarrier in the depth chart takes and keeps the snap (using either formation subs or manual sub)

I know! There's like an extra stutter step in every wildcat play now...

It's bad enough we can't scramble out of it...Now this!

Yeah because 95% of the league runs it...but it shouldnt be in the game.

Ridiculous. I guarantee you it'l be in Madden 11

How is there room for cheesing?

They need to unleash it completely, stopping it in the NFL is hit or miss if its run correctly, so it should be in Madden. It just looks 'off' the way its limited in the game.

Exactly, does the real NFL put restrictions on the Wildcat... NO

I only use this in franchise mode, and it's an absolute killer for me after the patch.

Madden 10 will finally be traded in this weekend.

95% of the league runs the wildcat??

Only 1 team runs the wildcat all that well, and are serious about it.

The rest of the league does it as a gimmick.

Guess I'll firmly switch to the Saints playbook then.

like 4-5 teams use the wildcat in the nfl. get a clue. it was broken in madden 10 before patch 2. do you people not look at how plays develop?? check out how the wildcat blocking overpowers the D every damn time!! if regular blocking were as good then running would be on rookie difficulty regardless of whether youre playing all-madden or not. the hitch was put in there to make up for programming probs.

its beyond obvious that screens and the wildcat have certain AI stats turned down/amped up so the plays work.

btw, the wildcat is a DESPERATE, DESPERATE formation used by the most anemic Os in the lg: phi, cle, mia. O cords basically throw their hands in the air and say, "**** it, lets pray for a miracle and run the wildcat>" lol

Yea and EA punishes that one team.

Actually, Miami uses it for ball control/possession and actually use it to move the ball down the field...and for them it has worked. Not saying Miami has a great offense, but it's actually useful for them, it's not a "desperate formation" the way they use it.

I bet 50% of teams in the NFL run a wildcat play at some points. You guys just don't realize it because you don't see all the games. Minnesota, Miami, Bucs, Oakland, Browns, Chargers, Lions, Rams, Cardinals, Jaguars, Titans, Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers.

                            and Cowboys

Its getting more popularity every year, next season some more teams will be using it.
EA will fix the issues and the Wildcat will make it in M11 again.

Philly has a pretty good offense, there passing game is solid. Miami threw the ball 52 times last week, and haven't been running the wildcat much at all since brown went down. But they still run the ball well.

So no, its not a desperation move, but it doesn't really work unless you have the proper personal like anything else in football, and Madden might not be able to interpret that adequately so they just tone it down on a whole.

Like others have stated before, I wish they would just tone it down for online play, because it seriously would get out of hand. Offline we should be about to do whatever we want to the cpu.
