I finally got my hands on this game and I'm enjoying it a lot. I do have a question though. I was editing my team's roster and had to add a player. When I did that, they were grayed out and designated a Reserve, so I couldn't actually use them in a game. How can I make them not be a reserve anymore?

I'm at work so I can't give you exact menu but I think it's "Manage Roster" where you change inactive and active... under MY NCAA if I recall.

You are correct. You have to go in and put them on the bench in manage roster section.

Yeah I see that now, but it still seems to want me to have 3 players on reserve. Can I not get around this? No huge deal but it'd be nice.

You can only have 12 active players at one time. If you have 15 players on your team then 3 need to be inactive at all times.

Just gonna let everyone know that when I play at a 25 toughest arena, I move the FT difficulty down from a 68 to a 30. I missed 13 FTs at Duke and I lost by exactly 13 so needless to say I wasn't pleased. Using the 68 difficulty, I've been hitting high 80s percent-wise through 9 games, then I went 2-15 at Duke. I play as Gonzaga, and they are a decent FT shooting team, but 2 for 15 is ridiculous. I'm really loving this game right now, but I wish I would of thought about the FT thing BEFORE the Duke game. Oh well, I'm still 7-3 in my dynasty with the Zags, and I haven't had a single freeze since avoiding timeout d-pad subs.

Just a few I've seen are Kansas red, UConn grey, Kentucky grey, Oklahoma St. orange, and Duke black. There's probably several more, but I haven't played with all of the teams yet. I wish they had the Zags black jerseys though.

Add LSU,Georgia Tech,Maryland,Oregon, Florida, Iowa, Georgetown & Syracuse to that list. That's just off the top of my head.

I finally got this in the mail yesterday and I'm not sure its worth the heart ache. There is a lot to like but it all feels so undercooked. I love the presentation but can't enjoy all of the awesome replay montages and banner splashes when they run at such incredibly low frame rates. I'm on PS3 so I can't speak for the 360 version, but my game turns into a slide show when the replays kick in.

Also its pretty clear that this game has some major freezing issues in Dynasty mode. I just had my first 5 games in whilst surfing the recruiting menu. To me this is a deal breaker. I was willing to look past stuff like the CPU post game and the lack of 3 pointers. But I can't in good conscience continue to put time into a game that is liable to lock up on me, negating any progress I may have made.

The lack of support from EA is also very, very disappointing. This title desperately needs patching and it looks like that is not going to happen. I understand EA's position in purely economic terms, but that doesn't help any of us who dropped cash on this thing.

I'm really let down by all of this to be honest. A couple of months ago I was super excited after learning about the presentation upgrades and the promise of Live 2.0 game play. Now I'm totally deflated as the game doesn't work as advertised, to me at least. The only thing that cheers me up is my copy of CH2K8 on the shelf. It's a little dusty but I'm sure its ready and willing to suck me right back in.
