    Kobe NBA Courtside

Ha I just played this on my computer, going way back to the N64. I used to love that game way back in the day. It's amazing how far we've come graphically. I ran with the Lakers:
    Nick the quick at pg
    Kobe at sg
    Eddie Jones at sf
    Rober Horry at PF
    Shaq at the C.

My favorite is after every bucket Kobe raises the roof and Shaq does that wiggly thing he used to do every once in awhile. I was using the keyboard to control everything so I only managed though a half but it was cool as hell.

Which NBA games owned on the SNES?

NBA Courtside 2 was great because it had a create-a-player feature with game-to-game progression.

You started out as a scrub, but each game you performed well, you got a few extra points to add to your player.

Too bad the actual gameplay was trash, even for the late-'90s.

Live '98 on the PS1 was my favorite game from back then.

If Im correct Courtside was the first game to utilize momentum based physics on how you used the left stick. If you pushed a lil he will jog if u slam the stick in a direction he would slow down and make cuts.

That's right, I forgot they made a version for the Gamecube, too.

I remember the Gamecube version being a total run-and-gun dunkfest compared to the slower N64 games. I'd just get Seattle and dominate with guys like Rashard Lewis, Shammond Williams, Desmond Mason, and of course, big Vin Baker on the inside.

I think the graphics and animations were always the best part about this series.

That and Chick Hearn doing the announcing on the old N64 games.

My neighbors and I actually spent more time playing the 3-point shootout than the actual 5-on-5 game.

NBA Action 98 for the PC. It was the same game as NBA Courtside, but for some reason it had a different name.

LOL at #98 on the Bulls instead of MJ. I used to create MJ and played a lot! My friend used to create a 7'7" "perfect" guy and put him on some team, and I tried to beat him with my created MJ and the Bulls. This game had signature moves for several players like Sprewell, Pippen, Kemp, Ewing, Olajuwon (I think), Robinson and maybe more. Good times...

I personally think the best game back then was NBA Hangtime for N64. It had alll the run and gun nonsense in it and you could shoot lights out from 3, but the defense was also mad fun. I still play this game to this day haha.
